have clouds unlike yesterday we had a ton of sunshine. we will talk about how dry it is and how much sun we will have by looking at the forecast for the afternoon hours. 73 to 84 around the bay. 83 to 92 from the north bay to the east bay valley and 63 at the coast to a breezy 70 in san francisco. grab the sunglasses and sunscreen. >> back to fremont with the on-ramp to northbound 880 is where the action is and we have emergency crews trying to get someone out of a vehicle stuck in an overturn upside down affect the on-ramp. in the santa cruz mountain, solo spinout partly blocking outside we have traffic nicely to the bay bridge and the sun is starting to rise and folks are still in bed. very few people driving into the city at this hour.

>> new details are emerging of the horrific program page in isla vista. investigators are pouring through the manifesto elliott rodger e-mailed to many include the parents covering ten separate crime scenes near uc santa barbara and six were killed. 13 were hurt. they are expected to survive. all of them promising students stabbed to death in the killer's apartment. matt keller is in san jose at a high school from which one of the victims graduated. matt? >> friends and family of the first three victims in isla vista mourn the loss. it wasn't too long ago that all three were attending high schools in the bay area including here in san jose. here is a photo of james honk, david wong and george chen, the first victims of elliott rodger

stabbing them before he went on the shooting rampage. david wong loved computers and basketball and games and was happy at uc santa barbara studying to be an engineer graduating from fremont christian high school two years ago. wong was friends with james and a graduate of high school together. rodger accused him of stealing candles and he pleaded guilty. george was visiting the two and was kind and always lending a helping hand. all three were part of the college of engineers. the other three victims of

122-year-old young woman about to graduate with heart history degree and a first year student from west lake village and 20-year-old christopher martinez an english major who worked at the deli. another victim caught in the campaign continues to recover at a santa barbara hospital. he was long boarding and he and his friend were hit by a car. boat legs were broken. he spoke with cnn by phone after surgery. >> i am doing all right. just getting better as fast as i k. >> he was initially told it would be a while before medical personnel could get to them because they had multiple gunshot wounds. >> investigators are uncovering new information what prompted rodger to commit in attack. 137 page manifesto he wrote

live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> good memorial day morning. >> we have live doppler 7 hd, everyone, showing limited visibility but the coast has more haze and six miles per hour at half moon bay. we will break it down today from sutro tower to mt. diablo and the sunrise is happening here. it will be sunny and warm to hot inland from 83 in the north bay valley to 92 in the east bay, around the bays mild to warm at 73 to 84 and a few clouds along the coast and another bright day and breezy at 63 to 70 downtown san francisco. enjoy. >> we have a couple of incidents otherwise it and relatively quiet. we will look at san mateo, this is eastbound 92 before 101 a stall waiting on the tow truck and you may fine just a little bit of slowing. the ramp from thornton to northbound 880 is blocked

at a hospital. he was visiting a former high school classmate when he was hit by rodger's car. both of his legs were broken. he had surgery over the weekend and says he is trying to get better. his sister said there has been an outpouring of support on social media and at their home. >> the uc santa barbara community came together last night if a vigil to pay tribute to the victims. in isla vista there is a memorial where the bay area victims were killed. memorials have popped up in several other spots around isla vista where students were killed or injured including outside the sorority house where veronica weiss and katherine cooper were gunned down and why christopher martinez was shot to death. >> he came in here and hit the two cars and was lodged into a jeep where the mercedes is right

now. >> students are trying to move forward but the violent images of what happened are hard to forget. >> we have continuing coverage of the rampage with updates at abc7news.com and of course throughout the morning on the morning news. >> develop news from walnut creek, two people were shot after leaving a concert. the two were stopped at a red light last night before 8:00 last night after leaving the stone soul concert. a vehicle pulled up, a man jumped up and shot both the female driver and her male passenger. they drove to the hospital for treatment with no word on their condition. the suspect is 6' tall man in his 20's wearing a black mask and t-shirt and blue jeans. >> police are investigating a double shooting that left a man dead and a woman hospitalized in east oakland.

she is in stable condition. the victims were both owned in the street near international boulevard and 930th avenue at 10:30. there was a party where the shots were fired of the no one has been arrested. >> a pedestrian is suffering from major injuries after being struck by a muni train car. he was walking on the tracks at 9:00 when they were hit by the light rail. it happened near san jose. muni service was stopped for an hour for the investigation. the pedestrian has head and leg injuries but is expected to survive. today is memorial day when americans remember and honor the sacrifices of men and women in uniform. there are several programs around the bay area honoring the fallen troops, the presidio in san francisco will begin the 146th memorial day celebration with two military aircraft operated by the 129th rescue

raise the minimum wage next year to $12.25 has submitted 33,000 signatures to get the proposal on the november ballot. the coalition has been gathering for the past three months. the minimum wage now is $8 an hour. the ballot proposal provides paid sick days and cost of lifting adjustment to oakland's lowest paid workers. if the plan is too steep a height the city council can pass their own legislation. >> someone is $70 million richer with a ticket purchased at this safesway -- safeway in san francisco. no one has come forward yet but the store will receive a bonus of $350,000 just for selling the ticket. speaking of cash, it appears san

toward the ocean, our beaches could be cooler because of the breezes and sfo is 16 miles per hour and fairfield is 15 but we still have a bit of an wind. it is hazy this morning but it is not a "spare the air" with warm sunshine and breezy and that is the first forecast highlight. sunny but the cooling trend starts tomorrow and the second push of cooler weather will have more clouds this weekend and possibly below average saturday and sunday. now at look at what is happening, low to the north county high to the south, competing air masses with the wind shooting through there and it will be warm again. but this pinch in the jet stream is going to come in and flatten this ridge of high pressure and, really, make the sea breeze more formidable and bring us the cooling trend tomorrow. today we flirt with 90 at los gatos and low-to-mid 80's for the south bay and san jose at 84

and the boardwalk is 78 degrees and sunshine. and mid-70's to nearly 80 degrees along the peninsula and 82 in los altos, and mid-60's loan the coast with a few more clouds around half moon bay and points south but we will see a lot sunshine so maybe just not so much as year. downtown, south san francisco, 70 and presidio is 64. 72 in sausalito and low-to-mid 80's through the north bay valleys and more sunshine at your coast and you are in the upper 60's and mid-to-upper 70's through the east bay shoreline and mid-80's to low 90's to the east bay valley. we will proceed tonight and have a few more louds along the peninsula and everyone else is mostly clear and 48 at napa, and 56 in oakland, and 61 in antioch tomorrow, we have a lot of sunshine and you can see by the time we reach friday and saturday and sunday the clouds are in, the breezes are in and temperatures are below average. have a great one. sue?
