students from seven low performing schools including three in the east bay filed a lawsuit today against the state and its top education officials the students at castlemont and fremont high schools are among those that claimed they've received less learning time than other, more affluent children. the suit identifies several reasons for what it calls lost learning time. including service courses that require office work or other tasks. >> students are very young and fall further behind losing more time as they progress through educational systems. >> students say frequent fights are another distraction because teachers have to leave the classroom in order to break them up. >> four san jose police officers resigned from the force over charges to the disability
