here at facebook but they are sharing it with the bay area. >> zuckerberg and his wife have decided to give $120 million to local public schools. the couple say they planned for a focus on children, education, and health. they say they are inspired by microsoft c.e.o. bill gates and his wife melinda and they want to use this opportunity they have been given to give back. they have been talking to school administrator and local leaders and figured out where there is an urgent need. here is how they have decided to give the first $5 million: going to public schools in san francisco, ravenswood which is east palo alto, and redwood city. they want the money to be spent on training principles, classroom technology, and helping students transition from 8 to 9th. education really is expensive and this donation is a drop in the bucket but it is the largest
