the search is on for a san francisco man who the fbi says is linked to this hazmat raid. what we're learning about him tonight and his political ties. >> freedom is yours. we'll see you son, my beloved son. >> finally free. the only u.s. serviceman taken prisoner in the war in afghanistan is coming home. some are criticizing the deal that led to his release. one of the worst alpine accidents ever on an iconic washington state mountain. abc7 news starts now. the fbi is releasing new information tonight about a san francisco man who could be packing explosives and is now the focus of a nationwide manhunt good, evening, i'm ama daetz. a nationwide manhunt is underway tonight for this man, 42-year-old ryan chamberlain.

he is 5'3", 225-pounds, brown care and blue eyes and he is armed and dangerous. here are the latest developments in the case. the fbi says chamberlain was last seen yesterday south of san francisco driving a white 2008 nissan altima with california or texas plates. it was initially reported ricin was found but the fbi does not believe there was ricin in the apartment, but warned chamberlain may have bomb-making materials. nick smith is live with more. reporter: new information. i just spoke to a neighbor who tells me she has never seen ryan in that white nissan. that she has only seem him ride a motorcycle. so it is possible that the man the fbi say has ties to bombmaking materials may have a second mode of transportation. >> the details -- >> the fbi is it engaged in a nationwide man hunt for 42-year-old ryan kelly

chamberlain ii, call him armed and dangerous. >> for possession of explosive material at his residence. >> our cameras were there when agents wrapped in hazmat gear executed the warrant to search his polk street ground floor apartment. the saturday morning hunt for explosives and the man agents connected to them lasted most of the day. the apartment remains sealed. the fbi spokesman stressed there's no risk to public safety. >> no chemical, biological, radiation nope at this time. >> i was completely shocked. >> san francisco political consultant alex turn is reserving judgment until all of the facts are known but says he new championer -- -- >> this you type video hips that chamberlain's civic enavailablement and very different from the one identified by first investigators. we spoke to him about his

of june. abc7 news meteorologist frances dinglasan is here with what is ahead. >> live doppler 7hd showing us why we saw such a wide range of high temperatures today. clouds still hug the coast. inland and around the bay we got a lot of sunshine0. so temperatures warmed up compared to yesterday. and looking from sutro tower to san francisco, coastal fogs are making their way in. 79 in san jose, 87 in morgan hill. check out how cool half moon bay is, 55. so temperatures from the 50s to near 90 degrees for the highs todayful this time we're looking from the east bay hills out west. you can see the marine layer in the distance. it will develop overnight. santa rosa, 78. and many 70s through napa, novato, upper 80s through fairfield, concord, and livermore. so quite a pleasant day and mild

to warm conditions everywhere else. from emeryville, a closer look towards the bay. look for the clouds to spread inland overnight, so fog and drizzle possibly tomorrow morning, especially near the coast. cooler tomorrow. let you know by how much and then a warming trend tuesday into saturday. so we have an area of low pressure. this upper level disturbances is going to affect our temperature only for one day. temperatures tomorrow, monday, will be about five to ten degrees cooler for the work week. then high pressure builds once again and temperatures climb into the 90s into the weekend. tonight, deep mary recent layer, 2,000 feet. this allows the clouds to move farther inland and temperatures will be cooler. overnight lows in the 40s to low 50s, and 57 in accept -- santa cruz. 54 in san jose.

and then tomorrow morning, once you wake up, the clouds will peel back to the coast once again. 50s at the coast to 70ness inland instead of the 80s we saw today. highs tomorrow, 73, san jose, sunshine. sunnyvale and mountain view. 65 in millbrae. pacifica, only 57. and again, cooler as you head towards the coast. 56 in daly city but 61 downtown. north bay, instead of 80s, we'll see 70s through sonoma and napa. 70 in petaluma, and look for 60s for the east bay, from 65 in oakland to 69 in fremont. interior areas inland valleys, this where is you drop by ten degrees. instead of the upper 80s, we'll see upper 70s, even low sentence 70s through walnut creek and san ramon. so here's your forecast. much cooler tomorrow, then the
