nice and clear and easy to come in, from emeryville, to san francisco. thank you, leyla gulen, the san mateo county sheriff is on scene of a deadly shooting by one of their deputies. the deputy shot and kill an 18-year-old woman fearing for his life during a confrontation at moon ridge housing conference around 9:30 last night. the deputy was responding to a family disturbance and he believed the woman was armed. that is not confirmed. the woman died in front of the complex. investigators with the district attorney are on the scene this morning. more breaking news from san jose and firefighters put out a fire at a two-story apartment building that started before 1:00 o'clock this morning. firefighters arrived to find an upper apartment fully involved with two people treated for smoke inhalation and released. six adults and five children have been displaced.

the same mission that voted to strip the school of accreditation is scheduled to meet today and it is not on the agenda. the commission for community and junior colleges is not scheduled to discuss city college's fate although it is the final meeting of the year. several missions, including congresswoman nancy pelosi, have urged the commission to give the school more time to fix their problems. the commission maintains it does not have the authority to extend the july 31 deadline and faculty and students are planning to rally before the commission holds a public meeting on friday. >> a man the f.b.i. says had bomb making material in his apartment, is headed to court. he appeared in federal court yesterday but did not enter a plea. f.b.i. agents revealed ryan ripe took off in his car after he was confronted on saturday and hebrew through a red light they decided it was too dangerous to follow him.
