good evening. we begin with a gonzo romantic scheme concocted by a pare of match makers from new york city. these women noticed a structural imbalance. too many single ladies in new york and not enough out in san francisco. so they hatched a crazy, cross-country plan. could this work? here is abc's paula faris. >> the dating scene in new york is no fun. >> sporadic. >> reporter: dating is exhausting. >> i dated actors. >> architects. >> emotionally unavailable people. >> over-sharers. >> not the guy. >> we have been on how many horrible online dates? >> ooh have been on 115. >> i have been on probably about 60. >> reporter: these two match makers know better than any one just how painful dating can be. and that gave them an idea.
