actions stopped a campus gunman in seattle. the suspect is 26-year-old if jail on homicide charges accused of killing one and injuring three others at seattle pacific university. a student building monitor pepper sprayed the gunman as he tried to reload the shotgun and disamended him before he could fire again. others pinned him to the ground until police got there. >> unfortunately when situations like this we focus on the suspect and that is the tragedy. suspects create an evil act and we only focus on the individual not those, the victims or the people this have supported them. that is what we need to focus on here because regular citizens stepped up and tried to do the right thing and in this case i believe they prevented a more horrible tragedy. >> the 19-year-old man wounded died at the hospital. a 20-year old woman was credit

chicago injure asked two owes were wounded but should recover. katie marzullo will have more including a possible motive. >> a political consultant accused possessing explosive materials is scheduled to be in san francisco federal court for a detention hearing. the f.b.i. agents conducted another search of 42-year-old ryan chamberlain's apartment open jackson and polk yesterday the location where they found explosive materials over the weekend. agents removed several more boxes of evidence. ryan chamberlain has been charged with one count possession an illegal destructive device and arrested on monday at crissy field after a three-day nationwide man hundred. >> a bail hearing for raymond "shrimp boy" chow is on next after he asked a san francisco judge to release him from jail. the former gang leader is accused of money laundering and plotting to sell stolen goods. he is one of 29 defendants in a corruption indictment that

accused state senator yee of con spiring in an international arms deal. shrimp has been in custody since march and waived a hearing until now. >> billionaire tom styer will announce he is establishing a $2 million fund for victim of while fires and other extreme weather events. according to the "san francisco chronicle" he and his wife are starting the climate disaster relief fund which will be managed by the san francisco foundation. the fund will help victims of wildfires in the west in the past year including victims in the san diego while fires last month. he said it is clear that wildfire are getting worse because of higher temperatures, drought, and the infestation of insects that follow. the board that runs the oakland coliseum and the amount's baseball team are close in on a ten-career extension to keep the club in oakland. the board members will hold a special closed door meeting this morning to review the latest

here are seven things to know today. the one, breaking news, a five in hayward claimed the life of a woman in a wheelchair. it happened at 1:00 o'clock a.m., a husband and wife were able to escape but the woman's aunt was trapped in the bedroom. we have a report from the scene ahead at top of the hour. >> two, 42-year-old ryan chamberlain is expected back in court this morning a day after f.b.i. agents conducted a second search of the san francisco apartment. ryan chamberlain is charged with possessing explosive materials. police arrested the former political consultant on monday after a nationwide manhunt. >> three, a 26-year-old suspect has been denied bail following a shooting at seattle pacific university. one person was killed and three wounded and police are crediting self students with taking down the gunman.

this week. that is on union street right near fillmore and it is going to block off the street there, as well, and as far as parking, plan ahead. greenville road, the westbound traffic is starting to gum up a bit as you leave address. >> we have breaking news in hayward where firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that killed a woman in a wheelchair. it happened around 1:00 o'clock this morning at this house a husband and wife, possibly in their 60's were able to escape but the woman's aunt was trapped in a bedroom. firefighters say she died from smoke inhalation. the husband was taken to the hospital with chest pains. we will have a report from scene at 6:00. >> the pedestrian is recovering after being hit by a car early this morning and the accident happened about 3:00 a.m. the teen suffered major injuries

thank you, a woman arrested for attacking a girl with a hammer at an oakland elementary school will make her first court appearance this afternoon, and accused of sexually assaulting the third grader in last week's bath rome attack. the nine-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and the attorney will be entering a plea today l is a feud between the suspect and the victim's families and may have targeted the girl for possible revenge. developing news, classes are canceled this morning as a see -- at a seattle university. we learn new details of the shooter. katie marzullo is in the newsroom with that story. classes and all evening evens canceled but the faculty is asked to come to campus and make themselves available to students

. the suspect was obsessed with the columbine school shooting and sorts say he traveled to colorado to visit the school in person at one point. >> this is new video, arm police raiding his house which is a city near seattle last night. he is suspected of shooting four people killing one of them. he opened fire at a science building. he had a shotgun, shells and a knife and was "hellbent on killing a lot of people." it was a student building monitor who stopped him from hurting more pe. he pepper sprayed him and the actions are not lost on the other students in harm's way. >> it could have been one of these people that was injured or in critical condition. a last us were in the building. he stop them in the lobby. he did not get further than that. i am grateful.

>> covering correct, campbell and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. a paralyzed east bay man is waking up with his faithful service dog by his side after being reunited because of for samaritans when the dog was stolen. we were there when arthur was reunited with his toy poodle named "love." word spread on the news and social media and a $5,000 reward was offered. a disabled garbage truck drive says he bought "love" for $375 from a man at the oakland wal-mart and gave it to his aunt whose dog was killed by a car but he called arthur when he realized that "love "belonged do
