here since 6:30 this morning. there are dozens of pots and contain containers. and a tarp with a large amount of the yellow powder. told they're velgting a the meth lab. government entities aren't providing details but the homeland security says it is executing a narcotics search warrant and the drug enforcement agency is assisting. part of an ongoing investigation. >> i've been living here for a while. and like we've never seen anything like this before. so i think it's kind of crazy now. the block has been getting really weird. >> the u.s. immigration and customs sifrt also involved as well as has mat crews. live in san jose, lillian kim, abc 7 news. >> more police in berkeley they raided a different drug lab this morning.

searching a home on oregon street near california. they found psychedelic drugs and the materials to make them. two men and a woman were taken into custody. and neighbors are being allowed back into thaz homes. investigators in hayward are looking for the cause of a house fire that killed a woman confined in a wheelchair. live with what neighbors are saying. >> matt. >> city workers are still boarding up the scene. a thermal imaging camera was also used to check for heat. it's all clear but sad lay long time resident did not survive. >> this is what a rescue looks like at a home destroyed by fire just 8 hours earlier. hayward animal services took away several animals from the townsend avenue backyard. including duck, cat, a chicken

and a chi chi what the owner did not survive the flames. a they were inside when the fires started around 2:00 a.m. >> we turned on our water hoses and sprayed the water on the grass to make sure the grass didn't light up. >> the couple escaped. the wheelchair bound woman did not. she was in the back bedroom where firefighters battled flames to get to her and carried her how. >> very tragic. when i came out here and she was there, i was shocked. i even had to ask did everybody make it is? and they kind of look this way and, no they didn't. >> they rarely saw her over the past ten years. it appears the fire started in the front bedroom where the man lived. several appliances including a mini refrigerator a microwave. and others were plugged into the outlets. >> you can't overload circuits.

i'm not sure if that was the cause here. but just seeing that, it increasings your possibility of starting a fire in your home. >> the fire marshal says it that take at least a couple more days before the official cause is released. abc7 news. >> a san francisco political consultant and fbi fugitive is in court right now. for having bomb materials in his home. >> ryan chamberlain only just appeared in front of the judge not 30 minutes ago. brought in an orange jump suit. handcuffed. exchanged pleasant good morning and the attorneys. and some things were just decided within the last 15 minutes two. things. the judge decided he's going to keep the photograph, the picture of the alleged bomb-making device that was found in the apartment sealed. but he is going to release the affidavit. so that is the information that

led informations to raid his apartment in the first place last saturday. also at issue is where chamberlain goes from here. he's currently in federal custody. that's being moved to 1:30 this afternoon for decision. but both p attorneys agree he should remain but chamberlain's attorney would like him moved to san francisco psychiatric hospital for a evaluation. and she believed his condition will deteriorate further if he says in custody. prosecutors though say there is little or no basis to believe that this is a mental health issue. still they put off deciding whether or not he can be transferred to san francisco general. some is just a technicality whether or not federal marshals are able to make that transfer. chamberlain is facing at least one chanch r charge of possessing an illegal explosive device. fbi raided his apartment

saturday and then again yesterday. he vanished and eluded capture for three days. that arrest was captured on cell phone video. it appears he had some family in the front row of the courtroom today. and i was able to talk to a woman who says he is a long time friend of his. and she and anyone who knows him at this point still just utterly at shock. >> kate. thanks a mother arrested for attacking a girl with a hammer is set to make her fist court appearance this afternoon. she's also accused of assaulting the third grader in last week's bathroom attack. the nine-year-old suffered serious injuries. there is some sort of feud they believe back to the families to when both families were living in yemen. >> president obama joined world leaders in france to honor the heros of the d-day.

covering all the bay area, this is abc7 news. >> you might soon find yourself doing a double take at the car's license plate in front of you. the california dmv is going old school, rolling out the classic black and yellow from the 1960s. if you like to go retro the plates run 50 bucks each. looks like there are some different color combos as well.
