of some holes in the overcast. temperatures today in our inland east bay, warming up. low to mid-90s. mid-60s to near 70 along the coast. and san francisco a little sunshine along the coast. plenty of sun in the city. the rest of the bay maybe upper 70s. a nice spread today, getting hotter tomorrow. >> thank you, lisa. new this morning, firefighters put out a vegetation fire that burned 100 acres near the east bay. it started just after 12:30 and grew quickly fanned by wind. crews were able to get the flames under control about an hour ago. no word on what started the fire. there were no injuries. police in the east bay are putting together a task force after several violent attacks by large groups of teenagers. it's called wilding. it isn't just one city's departments. cities from all over the bay area are banding together to put a stop to it. we have more from san leandro.

>> they have kids that just come in here, they jump over the gates all the time. >> what are they doing? >> over the past month san leandro police say a growing number of teens have been using bart to travel up and down the 880 corridor mostly on weekends for the purposes of doing nothing but terrorizing people and intimidating others and committing other acts of crime. >> police believe the trend, called wilding, was started by a youtube video where about 600 young people roomed the streets of chicago last year committing crimes. >> we need strengths in numbers in order to safely turn the problem. >> several people have been assault and robbed and now police agent escalation in ukraine from oakland to fremont have created task force. >> it's not just five or six police officers will show up, but 20 or 30 will. >> police say many of the wilding crimes are affecting the bay fair center mall and other downtown shopping areas in

surrounding cities. >> you see a lot of people leaving the area and shopping elsewhere. it's sad. >> the task force is still being formed but a full task force will be ready to respond as early as next week. in san leandro, alan wang, abc7 news. >> police are looking for a man accused of assaulting a woman in san mateo. this as surveillance video say he attacked a woman on east third avenue. the man grabbed her from behind and wrapped his arms around her in a bear hug type hold. she was able to break free and was not injured. the suspect is described as a his sphenic man about 5'2" and 140 pounds. the man at the center of an fbi manhunt bought enough biotoxins to kill hundred of people. he was in court yesterday where fbi agents explained while they didn't find the biotoxins in his apartment when they raided it

last saturday, they found bomb making exon he was. they believe he bought the poison online on a network that allows people to hide their online activity. he bought the pie owe fox on on the site "black market reload." our i-team uncovered that same site on what was called the dark net just last month. there there is a liquid farr to be converted into crist cal meth. agents removed it from the house. two adults were detained. two kids were also in the home during the raid. they are now in protective custody. happening today, there will be a memorial service for a san leandro teenager who was killed by a train. 18-year-old brittney was hit by an amtrak train as she was crossing the tracks near spring lake drive on may 19th.

dense foggily long the coast and it's clear in concord with livermore reporting a few clouds. east bay hills camera, you see the marine layer here and it is a beautiful shot. it's going to be a nice looking weekend. but on the warm side for some of you. how about morgan hill? numbers in the 90s. 51 right now. 53 in san jose with 52 in the city. oakland 56. and san jose a clear shot for you. temperatures will be significantly warmer today. and then another jump tomorrow. 53 in concord and 50 in santa rosa. some fog is along the coast. at sfo no reports of delays right now. we do have a lot of holes in the overcast. the fog is not going to last long but it will be banked up along the coast and we will have fog half moon bay, pacifica. sunshine from point reyes to stinson beach today and the triple digit heat invades our east bay valleys tomorrow. summer will be with us all weekend lock. we like it that way.

high pressure off the coast. it's building in a little bit closer and that is going to bump the temperatures up. we've had a weak system inland providing thunderstorms in the sierra nevada. a slight chance of those again today. and otherwise it's all about the warm temperatures around the bay. so we will be looking at minor changes at the coast. but throughout the east bay valleys take a look at what you have in store for today. low 90s and 102 in livermore. 99 on monday with 94 on tuesday. and then we will get back to more average readings wednesday, thursday and friday. so it's definitely going to feel pretty warm around here. los gatos 91 today. 85 cupertino and 71 degrees. plenty of sunshine santa cruz. low 80s for wed wood city, palo alto and mountain view. 62 half moon bay. san francisco 70 degrees today and up in the north bay we will have more warmth around cloverdale and clear lake.

but low clouds and fog keeping the coast comfortable. low 60s near east bay. plenty of 70s but getting toward the upper 70s castro valley and union city. 80 fremont. and inland,, how about low 90 s. the accuweather forecast shows warmup today. bearskin land coast being cool with some sunshine. tomorrow 70 to over 100 degrees and by monday just minor cooling around the bay. tuesday will bring the numbers down about 8 degrees inland. by wednesday, thursday and friday more average temperatures and it's going to be chilly at the coast. we will let you know how warm it will be in your community by keeping track of bay area whether on twitter at live doppler 7hd. the sea breeze keeping it cool but it shouldn't be as gusty as it has been. >> and not as chilly in the arctic where the polar bears live. take a look at this video. the polar bear goes underwater

>> welcome back, everyone. coming up on 6:30 and starting this half-hour with a quick look at the weather. here's lisa. >> good morning, katie. here's a look from the east bay hills camera you see the fog is over 1,000 feet. we are looking at this to stick around along the coast and bay just for the morning hours then it peels back to the shoreline. we even have clouds into the east bay this morning. 51 morgan hill. 52 with fog at half moon bay. the visibility there at three miles. the fog extends into the livermore valley. so it will burn back quickly and when it does, we've got much

warmer weather on the way for today. in fact, temperatures climbing into the low to mid-90s in our east bay valleys. that's where it's going to stay for today. we will have more 80s from san jose up in the north bay, upper 70s oakland, cool 60s at the coast with limited sun here, and it changes again significantly tomorrow. we will talk about that in a few minutes. katie. >> thank you, lisa. new this morning, president obama is use the college commencement season to talk about legislation that would let college graduates refinance their loans. in his weekly radio address he notes the program would be paid for by closing tax loopholes for millionaires. the choice facing lawmakers is to protect young people from crushing debts or to protect tax breaks for millionaires. >> the good news is that senate democrats are working on a bill that would help more young people save money. just like you can refinance your mortgage at a lower interest rate, this bill would let you

refinance your student loans. and we pay for it by closing loopholes that allow some millionaires to pay a lower tax rate than the middle class. >> the senate is expected to debate the legislation next week. it faces significant obstacles. >> vice president joe biden is in ukraine this morning to attend the inauguration of the nation's new president. he is also scheduled to meet with ukraine i don't know leaders. his visit comes at a chaotic moment for ukraine. they hoped the elections would resolve the conflicts there but it's been tempered by clashes in the last few weeks. >> a judge has ordered an emergency hearing over the government's spy program. it comes one year and one day after edward snowden's first public disclosures on the details of nsa spying. >> >> long before there was edward snowden, there was mark kline, a company work who found out the equipment he was installing was for the nsa. >> i didn't sign up for the nsa.

abc7 news. police say the accused seattle pacific university shooter admitted he wanted to kill as many people as possible and then take his own life. yesterday the judge found probable cause to hold him without bail for thursday's shooting that killed one student and wounded three others. the senior has been credited for stopping the assault as he reloaded his shotgun. he pepper sprayed him. >> i saw john come out, he had a puzzled face, his arms were shaking and a stutter in his voice. i've never seen him lick that before. >> the student who died is identified at 19-year-old paul lee. the attorney for the suspect said his client has had mental health problems for years. architectures showing off their design for the new sandy hook elementary school. it will be where the old school

much as 50 spots on the streets. >> what are we to do, close it, sell it? >> as a matter of fact, we are gaining parking spaces. you see the red zone, those are going to be parking spaces. >> oakland is getting $190 million in federal funds to create 9.2 miles of rapid bus lanes. the merchants would like to see money invested in more security along international informed. -- international boulevard. >> the family of a firefighter who died in the line of duty has received a new car. beverly said the hyundai comes at the right time because she's struggling financially and emotionally. her husband died two years ago while responding to a call her husband was a captain at the fire department.
