at coast and san francisco. leyla gulen? >> we have 33 bart trains running on time. ace train one is a minute early. we have a fender bender in san jose northbound 101 at blossom hill. as we head up we will find the crash. not blocking any lanes. through the caldecott tunnel in the eastbound direction the roads will be blocked in a couple of lanes and 280 beyond 17, not too much traffic, pretty empty. an amber alert is canceled for three bay area children all found safe. police issued the alert for 12-year-old boy and a six-year old and 3-year-old after their fear -- father was shot to death

of the it is believed they were kidnapped by their mother who was found in richmond. neighbors identify the father as just moving to the neighborhood. according to the police the mother did not live with them. the police are not aware of a hit of violence between the mother and father and there will be much more in a report in about 30 minutes. 50 nato service member, all americans have been killed in southern afghanistan. officials say that it is investigating as a possible friendly fire after forces on the ground came under enemy attack after hitting too close to the troop location killing them. the san jose city council will vote on a plan to transform downtown into a site for a new

a's ballpark. matt keller is near the station with a preview. matt? >> yes, we are standing in the middle of where this takes place. here is the station. as my photographer moves to the right you can see this, a project that will take decades but it will be a reality. here is what is proposed: a northern central and southern zone at 4.96,000 square feet of office speed and 2,588 residential units and 900 hotel rooms. the biggest change is at the station which is a hub in san jose connecting caltrain and light rail and amtrak and other public transportation. the bart extension would reach here in the future. california high-speed rail authority prefers alignment along an elevated structure above the existing tracks and this is what it could look like.

the city would have to make plans for parking and traffic and putting the sap center and baseball stadium in walk distance of each other. they say this needs to be flexible because it is for 30 years in the future. the next step is tonight with a city council meeting and one member is requesting this be put on hold and talk about it next week. from san mateo county a person is under arrest for murder in redwood city at middleton and 4th. the sheriff deputies say a person was arrested and so far they have not released how the victim was killed or a motive. >> oakland mayor quan is denying she was talking on a cell phone when involved in a car crash. no one was seriously hurt in the accident on sunday afternoon,

but some witnesses say they was on the cell phone and ran a red light. a new witness came forward yesterday and insists she was not on her phone but the mayor admits she is not sure if she ran a red light. >> i do not believe so but we will let the police investigation confirm or not. >> she was driving and just, bam, like that. she was doing through a yellow light. >> she was convicted of running a red light in another incident in february the she claims it was for not stopping completely on the right turn, the california turn, and days ago, pictures surfaced her using the phone while behind the wheel on two occasions. >> a livermore golf teacher accused of molesting students andmenting to kill them from jail will be arraigned today. the 31-year-old man is expected to appear in court today accused of sexaully abusing three students this his car. the boys ranged in age from 17

to 12. vote -- investigators say he wanted a hit man to kill the boys but a tip thwarted the plan. he faces 75 felony counts. >> tone, a modified proposal to raise the minimum wage in the city of berkeley will go before the city council and the measure would raise the minimum wage in berkeley to $12.53 an hour by october of 2016. currently it is $8 an hour. an early push to raise the rate to $15 an hour failed we. the first vote on the new measure is tonight but there must be 100 more vote before the measure becomes law. >> possible presidential candidate hick shake giving her most wide-ranging interview since leaving the state department. she sat down exclusively with diane sawyer offering everything from the attack on benghazi to monica lewinsky. >> with the new book "hard choices" hillary clinton is

>> a mainstay that greeted bart riders coming into san francisco at embark car station since opening will disappear. you may have seen the rope sculpture dangled on the east wall of the station since 1976 and by the end of the month soot-stained art will be taken down and returned to the creator. "legs" has seen better days with so much dust and a lot of people want it decommissioned. bart has budgeted $300,000 to dismantle the art work using detailed constructions provided by the artist. >> dominoes has a new way to deliver pizza, the goal is to make sure the pie arrives looking like this and small a smashed mess. this video shows on youtube the "steady pizza," keeping pie balanced to make sure the cheese and toppings stay on the pizza

in millbrae and we are much smaller spread along the coast, low 60's to maybe 63 and 66 downtown and 67 in south san francisco and 68 in sausalito and more clouds than year, and upper 70's to mid-80's throughout the north bay valley and from 71 in berkeley to 80 in castro valley and everyone in the mid-to-upper 70's and headed inland you probably still needed air conditioning because the house will not cool down until tonight mid-80's to nearly 91 in brentwood. at the game tonight it will be cool, and dropping down to 57. speaking of cool, all of us will still be in the 60. >> two or six degrees cooler tomorrow and temperatures are below average on thursday and you can sigh the minor warping on friday and back to average and maybe warmer-than-average away from the coast.

news, the three children were found safely last night in richmond at 11:30. the 12-year-old boy, 6-year-old and three-year-old all were called in weapons of mass destruction with their mother and the amber alert was canceled. father was found shot to death in the backyard of their home. the children were gone. police believe they were taken sunday night and said at time their mother was a suspect in the disappearance. neighbors say the father was a go dad. >> he seem like a really nice dad. he was always with his kids, playing, andrying them -- and bringing them food. he was always nice. >> the moment, 35-year-old alicia ortez was found last night with the kids. the mystery sounds her. police will not say if he is custody or if they will charge her. officers say the case is still

active so right now they want to keep their information guarded at this time but they might release more information in a press conference at 7:00 this morning, still to be determined. this is a fluid situation. >> thank you, amy hollyfield. >> oakland police are investigating a children involving a woman and a child before 10:00 last night on 83rd avenue near g street. the victims were taken to the hospital and are listed, now, in stable condition. no arrests have been made. >> the shooting came less than five hours after another child was shot in oakland, a three-year-old boy was grazed by a stray bullet while riding aboard a transit bus with emergency worker on the scene at international boulevard and 66 avenue at 5:30. they were wound by gunfire, with both the man and child expected to be okay. a friendly fire incident has

killed five american troops in southern afghanistan. it happened in the area where security operation after the soldiers came into contact with enemy sources. an official says the soldiers may have been killed when they called for air support. to confirmed it would be the worst cases of coalition on coalition friendly fire during the 14-year war. >> bart says service will be back to normal this morning after a mechanical problem caused a train to fill with smoke. a rider tweets the pictures hing the smock inside a train at the west oakland bart station. bart emphasized it was smoke with no fire on the dublin/pleasanton-bound plane. there was only a short delay. >> a pedestrian suffered head and knee injuries after being hit by a muni streetcar near san

francisco state last night. according to police, two men were walking along the light rail vehicle and one was hit by the side of the train. the victim was taken to san francisco general hospital and disrupted the rail service on ocean view line. there is no expected impact for the commute this morning. >> san francisco police are investigating a tragic freak accident that left a two-year-old boy dead. kayson shelton was killed when a statue fell on him outside a store on fisher man's wharf. family was visiting the wharf from utah and say they are thankful for san francisco's first responders who tried to save his life. >> services were incredible something that the family has commented time and time again how amazing not only the community here, of course, but everyone that helped in san francisco. they keep commenting that the hospital and the police department and how amazing everyone was to come to their

fairfield has our fastest wind through the morning hours and look how it ramps up to lunch. especially during the afternoon. it spreads all through our inland east bay neighbors bringing the cooler weather. during the evening hours it will taper as the sun sets and the atmosphere decouples. starting off in the 50's and 60's like yesterday, and more fog, and 58 at the coast and 80 inland and look at 4:00, we are 10 or 15 degrees cooler inland and mid-80's and mid-70's around the bay and grab a coat at the coast, 66 at the bay. >> a head-on crash in tracy off of 580. if you are traveling grant line road we have two cars that collided here so that could cause delays in the area with the intersection blocked here and there and as we look at the drive, 580 is stacking up right now and bumper-to-bumper traffic

yet but it is kind of a forecast now: the marin headlands and i thought this was so beautiful, watch the clouds as they cascade over the hills and this is the exactly what will happen later this afternoon. wasn't that gorgeous? here is a look at live doppler 7 hd and you can see the clouds along the coast that are spilling into our neighborhoods right now, and have not quite reached the east bay hills and still hazy but the winds will get to you and you will not be as hot today. the record heat of 100's is over. more cooling with a little bit of a ramp up in temperatures but they will be barely above average and nothing like what we have lived through. here is the key to the forecast, the area of low-to-upper is sitting out here and bringing the southern surge up and because of that, we have the fog this morning, and that will dissipate as the low has a lot
