police say they were aiming to a 7:00 a.m. news conference. hopefully that will happen. we will then learn more. they are trying to sort through the evidence. they found the three kids last night at 11:30 in richmond. with their per -- mother. they are safe. she is 35 years old alicia ortez. when the kids disappeared she was nameed as a suspect. they will not say if she is in custody. the children's father was found shot to death in the backyard of his home. the kids were gone. so was their mother. she does not live with the family. he has fill custody of the children. neighbors described father as a for dad would was always playing with his kids. we are standing by with more information. stay with us as the story develops.

>> oakland police are investigating a shooting involving a woman and a child that happened before 10:00 last night on 83rd avenue near g street. the victims were taken to the hospital and are listed in stable condition. no arrests have been made. the shooting comes less than five hours after another child was shot in oakland, a three-year-old boy was grazed in the foot by a stray bullet while riding a transit bus. we emergency workers worked the scene near international boulevard and 66th avenue at 5:30, a man was also wound by gunfire can both the man account child are expected to be okay. >> san francisco police are investigating a freak accident that left a two-year old boy dead. kayson shelton was killed when a 6' tall statue fell on him as he climb on it. the family was visiting the wharf from utah. they are thankful for san francisco's first responders who tried desperately to save his life. >> the services were incredible

it is 6:44. today, the bay area's largest city will consider a major new tran it plan to change how people get in and out of the downtown. >> we are talking about san jose where we fine matt with a preview. matt? >> this is where it would take place over my shoulder is the diridon station and behind me is the sap center which is a huge project that will take decades to complete. the plans are in the works to make it a reality. here is what is proposed: a northern, central, and southern zone 4.96 million square feet of office face and 420,000 square feet of retail and 2,588 residential units and 900 hotel rooms. the biggest changes is at the diridon station, a tran it hub in san francisco connecting caltran and light rail. the diridon station could include high-speed rail including an elevated track.
