[ cheers and applause ] >> jimmy: i'm jimmy. i'm the host of the show. the reason you see my face tonight is this is our nba game night special in celebration of game four of the nba finals. the san antonio spurs versus the miami heat. tonight's game is from miami. game five goes back to san antonio. it's a tough battle between two veteran teams. you can tell there are a lot of veterans on the teams because it takes them a month to get an

appointment with a doctor, and on top of this being a big day for basketball, it is also a big day for soccer. the world cup started today in brazil, which to me watching soccer is like watching 22 people exercise for three hours. you're lucky if anyone scores in the game. some of the games end tied at zero, which i don't understand. we just aren't programmed for that sort of thing in the united states. we demand points. that's why we love weight watchers. [ laughter ] we like points so much. [ cheers and applause ] we want to put them in our mouths and eat them. i was wondering today, what would it be like if the nba was like the world cup? ♪ >> right there. the music in the background. nice. >> best part of it is watching you play the keyboard at the table. >> when i was growing up in martinez, we had low riders all over the place. leonard dives on the board.

[ cheers and applause ] has anyone noticed during the series that spurs' center tim duncan whenever he believes he's wrongly accused of a foul suddenly transforms into an exact replica of the spurs mascot? i don't know if he does that on purpose, but whatever city's team makes it into the finals, it seems like everyone that lives there suddenly becomes a

superfan. people that don't know a difference between dwyane wade and duane wayne turn into phil jacksons when their hometown team gets into it. we thought it would be fun to exploit that. so we positioned a camera crew outside the at&t center in san antonio, where the spurs play, and asked people who identified themselves as spurs fans about players and facts we made up. you have two choices in a situation like this, you can be honest and say i have no idea what you're talking about, or you can pretend you know what we're talking about, which is what these people did in a special san antonio spurs edition of "lie witness news." >> your name? >> jay. >> who are you rooting for? >> san antonio spurs, all day! >> excited about the finals? >> yes, i am. >> let me ask you, who's a better coach, gregg popovich of the spurs or tywin lancaster of the heat? >> popovich. he has an old school way of coaching the guys. >> yeah, popovich knows about

"jimmy kimmel live: game night" with the nba finals under way, our thoughts turn to basketball. i never played professional basketball because i was cheated by god physically, but tonight, we're going to take nature out of the equation. i have already played one on one against nba star stephen curry and demarcus cousins. i will now face up against another formidable foe. from the denver nuggets, please welcome nate robinson! [ cheers and applause ] how are you doing? >> i'm good. >> jimmy: i know you played against a lot of guys. have you ever played against a man with a four-inch vertical leap? >> no, but it's all hard right, you know what i'm saying? >> jimmy: that's right. i think so, yes. >> yes. >> jimmy: usually, nate, you would have an advantage over me. but this is not usually, this is unusually. with that said, it's time to spin the equalizer. it will make everything right. the wheel is loaded with handicaps. you can see you might have to wear shoes and socks on your hands, you might have to wear a giant neck cone.
