around concord. near that in fairfield. you see it at sfo, 24 miles an hour. so the forecast today as you head on out, look for coastal clouds. and temperatures in the 50s. by noontime 60s and 70s around the bay. we will be in the mid-80s inland. low to mid-70s around the bay. 60s and gusty winds along the shoreline. we are still looking at cooler air for parts of the beginning of the work week. we will have that for you and a look at the first day of summer coming up. >> all right, lisa. looks good. see you soon. we have breaking news out of san francisco where an off-ramp near westbound 80 has reopened following a fatal accident involving an s.u.v. it happened just after 1:00 this morning at the fifth street off-ramp near harrison street. the ramp was closed for about two hours while crews investigated. no word on how many people were involved in the crash or what caused the accident. a father is relieved this

morning after his daughter is found safe nearly 24 hours after disappearing in the marin county wilderness. girl was on a road trip with her family when she wandered away from their campsite at the state park. it was samuel taylor state park. we have details. >> the nine-year-old ida rothschild is with her family. >> i'm extremely grateful this father's day that i did not -- that i continue to have my wonderful daughter. >> they had been staying at a cabin on the campground for most of the day. the family was resetting after the frantic search. we saw them load into their minivan and drive out of the park. ida was found by a pair of area bicyclist. they refused to be interviewed. they recent lie moved into the area. according to the sheriff's department they decided to go on a ride to see if they might spot her and they did. they both saw her and heard her crying for her mamma a short distance away from the path.

>> people from across northern california mobilized to help in the search. by friday night more than 200 were combing through samuel taylor state park. robbie rothschild said he is incredibly thankful for all the help. >> we are thankful our daughter was brought home to us. >> the family was visiting the bay area from new mexico. when ida was reunited, she seemed unfazed by the whole ordeal. >> what about this, dad? abc7 news. >> a highway patrol officer and federal police officer are recovering after being wounded in a shootout. it happened yesterday afternoon in a remote area near nevada city. investigators don't know why an armed man fired at the chp officer and the ranger from the federal bureau of land management.

investigation. relatives and passengers aboard the missing malaysian airline flight say they feel no closure 100 days after the plane disappeared. a statement released this morning by the airline said the airline continues to hope and seek answers to what happened to the flight. meanwhile, relatives of the people on board are trying to crowd source a $5 million reward about what happened with the flight. it vanished during a flight to beijing on march 8th. >> happening today, an effort today to urge an archbishop not to participate in a march organized against anti-gay groups. they will hand out flyers about the archbishop's upcoming participation in a june 19th march and rally in washington, d.c. organizers say. against same-sex marriage. last week they sent a letter to the archbishop asking him to reconsider his participation in the rally. festivities on the east coast. thousands showed up for the

she spent years getting oxygen therapy and ivs. the family even sold their home in minnesota in order to live closer to her doctors at stanford. the young man featured in this video needs a bone marrow transplant to save his life. the asian american donor program posted a clip on youtube. he suffers from leukemia. michael lewis co-stars in the video. he coached him in baseball. many of you answered after seeing stories here on abc7 news. he likely needs a donor who is a mixed european and asian heritage. >> abc7 news david louie gave back to a fundraiser in burlingame. he was the m. c. for the self-help longevity gala. goal was to raise more than $450,000 to support social, health, employment and educational services for the elderly in four bay area counties.

a few clouds around and the atmosphere cooling today. peek cooling tomorrow. we could wake up to mist and drizzle as well. concord and livermore, numbers in the the 50s, as well as fairfield. here's a look at the winds. this is another indication. we have the breezy winds at the parent they are milking their way all the way out to concord and fairfield. we have the delta breeze allowing for the temperatures and the air ms. to bring in the cooler temperatures. there's a flag and it is whipping a bit out there. partly cloudy skies due to the low clouds and high clouds. cooler today for father's day. anywhere from 5 to 10 degrees cooler tomorrow. waking up to more of the same and mist and drizzle and as a result temperatures will be hard pressed to make it out of the 70s in our warmest inland valleys. a little pulse moves through yesterday and the area of low pressure will continue to dig further. as it does the winds pick up and the marine layer extends and we will have the cooler day today. the coolest day tomorrow and

>> good morning. we are starting this half-hour with a look at the weather. here's meteorologist lisa argen. good morning, lisa. >> good morning, cornell. here's a look at high clouds in san jose. we are looking at the atmosphere cooling today. right now the winds are up and the temperatures in the low to mid-50s. 56 oakland. 55 in san carlos. we have wind gusts over 30 miles an hour from concord out through the delta. the rest of the day today may be a little mist and drizzle along the coast. then the clouds just clearing to the shoreline but we will have the clouds from daly city on southward. and with that breeze it's going to make it all the way to the delta. notice the 80s replaced with 70s in the santa clara valley. and just a few 60s popping up in the east bay valleys. today not the coolest day of the week. we will see further cooling as we say good-bye to spring.

another unruly passenger forcing a packed flight to land and this time it was caught on camera. here's abc news reporter on the growing number of unruly flyers and what can be done about it. >> reporter: chaotic moments aboard with jet blueline. an agitated passenger. listen again. you can hear the passenger's daughter pleading with him to stop. >> dad, dad! dad, cop it! >> jet blue said the captain diverted the plane to detroit out of an abundance to caution. passengers sat on the tarmac for two hours before taking off for las vegas. it's not clear what provoked the man to become unruly. abc news learn he was taken by authorities in detroit to a local hospital. incidents like this one has soared to more than 8200 worldwide last year, up from

more than 5200 the year before. this flight had to make an emergency landing in atlanta, and this drunk passenger was so violent several passengers duct-taped him to his seat. a veteran flight attendant said stress is pushing some passengers to the edge. >> i think we had some flights that are so full nowadays, that gets people worked up. and getting through security, what is involved with checking baggage and hidden fees, i think leads to people being a little bit more on edge when they fly nowadays. >> an airline trade association now encouraging airlines to go after problem passengers for the cost of these disruptions. as much as $200,000 for diverted flights. >> wow. there was another incident on a jet blue flight. the passenger said it was the flight crew that was out of

line. deborah said the flight attendant didn't allow her three-year-old daughter to use the restroom so the result was an accident on the seat. and they announced they were returning to the gate because of a noncompliant passenger on board. jennifer was offered a $50 credit, but no apologies. tomorrow president obama returns to washington, d.c. from southern california after speaking to graduates in irvine yesterday. he decided to be the commencement speaker after getting 10,000 post cards inviting had i am to the graduation. president urged them to lead the fight against climate change. >> if we don't deal with the problem soon, we will be overwhelmed. these nations have some of the fastest levels of carbon pollution. they will have to take action to meet this challenge. they are more vulnerable to the effects of climate change than we are. they have even more to lose but they are waiting to see what america does. that's what the world does, they wait and watch us. >> president obama also encouraged the graduates to be hopeful rather then cynical as they begin the next phase of their lives.

happening today microsoft founder bill gates and his wife melinda will deliver the stanford address at stanford. this year's graduates have a lot to gain from today's commencement address. he cites the gates' work in fighting poverty and technology to improving society and the human condition. stanford's 131st commencement begins at 9:30 this morning inside stanford stadium. a newly released study by researchers at ucsf could change how doctors diagnose and treat patients. >> came from mexico to california when the border was free. >> this doctor not only researches genomics, he sees it work in his family tree. a mixture ever danish, french and mexican ancestry, he decided

low clouds this morning making for a very picturesque start. you see some of the cloud cover here in san jose. temperaturescology down significantly for some. we will call it anywhere from five to ten degrees cooler overall. 53 in the city. 56 right here. 52 in morgan hill. half moon bay two and a half mile visibility and on top of vollmer peak the east bay hills camera some of the fog on securing the view from time to time. overall we are looking at the breezy winds already into concord, the delta and some cool upper 30s in santa rosa. 55 in livermore. and the winds have been quite breezy over in concord. so as we take a look at the current win gusts, you will see up to 30 miles an hour there. and 20 mile-an-hour gusts around half moon bay. this will mix on out. going to come back, though, quickly this afternoon and throughout the entire bay area and then as the atmosphere continues to cool, it will mix out entirely. although we will get more

sunshine into tomorrow, the temperatures are going to be coming down. so a look from our roof camera. morning low clouds and fog. cooler today for father's day. tomorrow the coolest day of the week before high pressure begins to bull back in. that's what happened yesterday as we saw the warmer day. but as it passes to the east of us, the on-shore winds kicking up. high pressure backs off a bit as the trough continues to dig. that will be the main weather feature today and tomorrow, influencing our daytime highs. and with the cloud cover banked up along the coast, it will be gusty not only today, but pretty much all week long at the coast. low 60s today in monterey. you head far into the valley into the mid-90s in fresno. 71 about sunshine in the sierra nevada. we will look for 82. the week ahead, yesterday we featured near 80 degrees. today coming down. in fact, in the mid-80s yesterday and low 60s. the coolest day on monday.

temporary and short-lived warmup through the middle of the week and more subtle changes into the end of the week. so elsewhere a look for highs mainly in the low 70s from oakland. san mateo, notice the greens in san rafael. in cloverdale 86. santa cruz is 10 degrees cooler with afternoon sun. and we will are looking at temperatures today cooler than yesterday at at&t park and that's all due to the stronger on shore push. low 60s about 1:00. 4:00 60 degrees. cooler and the trend continues with maybe mist and drizzle tomorrow. by tuesday it will be somewhat milder and more of a summer like forecast on wednesday. but we don't really officially usher summer in until next saturday. temperatures are trying to rebounds by next weekend. we will begin with our june doldrums, we call it.
