tomorrow, state lawmakers will decide whether a law championed by the family of a sexual assault victim will go forward. the 15-year-old, audrey pott was sexual assaulted at a party. her family says that with the help of a senator they drew up a bill requiring a mandatory minimum of two years sentence for juveniles who rape an unconscious or developmentally disabled person. despite finding approval in the senate, human rights advocates say juvenile detention is expensive and ineffective.
