as you make the push northbound along 101 at the peninsula avenue we have two lanes taken away and they will bic -- will be taken away until further notice. and an overturned vehicle blocking one lane, westbound 580 as you make the approach to 13. the bay bridge toll plaza shows metering lights are turned on and already there is traffic collecting at the toll plaza. happening today, fremont police will ask a city council to pay for a new surveillance program involving a dozen new security cameras and license plate readers. amy hollyfield is in fremont with the details. here is a location they would hike to see cameras: fremont boulevard and interstate 880 with a list of a few other locations where they are thinking of putting cameras, 12 locations, in all, and these are all along interstate 880

middle of the night. the fire broke out on the second floor of their building around 1:00 o'clock this morning and the husband and wife were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and crews managed to knock the fire down before it spread to any of the five units. >> this morning, police in santa cruz are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy, and the body was found inside an apartment on center street shortly before 7:00, across the street from the santa cruz police station. the victim was from watsonville and visiting friends. police are interviewing several people in the apartment. officers found a handgun believed to have been used in the shooting and the gun was recorded stolen last month. so far, no arrests have been made. >> community members will deliver a petition with 30,000 signatures to san francisco archbishop today calling on him to cancel plans to attend the march for marriage rally in washington. the mayor and other local leaders have already signed an open letter asking him not to speak on thursday. they say the organizers are antigay and have a history of
