the women's half-marathon and 5k gets underway in the east bay. they are warning wes residents in alameda to expect traffic delays near island drive. and also bay view drive and shoreline drive should experience closers and delays and until about 1:00 p.m. the first race gets underway at 8:00. tomorrow officials in marin county will take up a proposal for a solar facility that would power more than 500 homes. according to our media partner, the marin independent journal, the proposed facility would be locate located on a former rock quarry outside of novato. it would have more than 4,000 solar panels that would generate under two meg watts of electricity. electricity would be delivered to marin clean energy via nearby

out of the upper 80s. seasonal pattern continues into next week. we have the chance of sprinkles around here come wednesday night into thursday. the deep trough is going to drop down from the gulf of alaska but between now and then we are looking for high pressure off the coast allowing for a healthy sea breeze. temperatures will stay in check with the microclimate in full spring and no changes through wednesday. wednesday night through thursday things get interesting. this is where we sit so far with just over 6 inches of rain for the season, 40% of normal in san jose. san francisco, 12 inches of rain, 53% of normal and look at up in santa rosa. this is where the best chance of showers will be, and as we go through the next five days you notice the green indicating the chance of showers. it will stay to the north of the bay, but we could see mendocino county, sonoma county picking up trace amounts into thursday. we will wait and see.
