time and closer you are to the bay shoreline and 67 to 77. now the monday morning commute? >> good morning, mike, good news if you traveling from the central valley on 580 westbound the road work not livermore is lake getting picked up and it has been picked up, but, slow traffic begins all the way out from address up and over to the a pass, with speeds of 35 to 40 miles per hour, so it is a pained. we have word this closure, week 580 to east 80 has been picked up, as well, and traffic is slowing through the macarthur maze nicely. san rafael is beautiful, no fog, the tail lights are headed beyond the civic center and traffic is flowing at the limit and you will find fog up andest up and over the waldo grade. >> a fatal accident is being investigated on light rail tracks in san jose. the victim was trying to save a

beloved pet. matt? yes, this is a tragedy vest girlfriends say the man was going across the tracks here, chasing after his dog and he was hit by the train. it happened after 9:00 last night with 25 people on the train at the time. though were unharmed and traps parted to another location. the man killed was in his 50's. >> everything was operating properly. the gates were drawn. bells were ringing. the traffic investigation teen was called to the scene. standard procedure in a case like this means the operator is tested for drugs and alcohol and the train impounded. the area was blocked off for several hours. now it is open so light rail service should be able to operate normally. this is the second train accident at this intersection this year. there is a memorial here for 14-year-old who was killed by a

train back in january. she was riding her bicycle to high school. >> developing news in san francisco where police are investigating a series of suspicious fires. we are learning that newspaper racks in two separate locations were set on fire at 11 o'clock, only six hours ago, and the fires followed two other fires set yesterday. one on mission, and another near 2nd and howard. the fire on mission near st. patrick's church happened in broad daylight in a busy area with a lot of pedestrians and sparked after another fire at a construction site at 2nd and howard there was no major damage at either scene and it is not clear if they are connected. they follow a series of fires the last few weeks and amy hollyfield will have more details in 30 minutes. the san mateo bridge is open again after an injury accident involving two cars and a viewer tweeted a photo of the accident

rafael, it is beautiful, tail lights are headed beyond the civic center and north san pedro and everyone is at the limit. developing news here, a series of suspicious fires in san francisco continue to baffle police with the fires usually small and appear to target construction sites and other developments in the city. amy hollyfield is in san francisco with more. eric, this building is under construction at howard and 2nd and was targeted and last night it appears the arsonist struck again. there remain two fires 10 minutes of each other around 11 o'clock, one at 1st and mission and police say two newspaper stamps were set on fire. this was not too far from where police responded yesterday morning at 2nd and howard and someone heard a loud bang and saw a can flying. no damage was done.

no one was hurt. also, yesterday, another fire near st. patrick's church on mission and these are part of a string of fires that have been happening the last couple of weeks, a dozen, in the sonoma area. police do not know why someone is doing this but they formed a special arson task force to look into the fires. they do think they are an son. they have evidence from different surveillace cameras they are setting these in the area and some of the fires were set at construction sites and those sites have hired security guards to protect their sites. everyone is on high alert, all hoping and waiting and watching to make sure it will not happen again and police are on high alert. >> residents evacuated from a subdivision and become at let this morning after 100 acre wildfire forced them out for seven hours.

the fire break out at 12:30 yesterday afternoon in wooded terrain and it destroyed one outbuilding and a couple of vehicles. they have contained 60 percent of the fire. the fire was accidentally started by someone using mechanical weather if dry grass. >> a brushfire has burned 160 acres. it is burning in the hills above glendale. no structures are threatened and no evacuates are ordered. firefighters from several agencies are battling the flames from the ground and the air. officials say three hikers were air lifted and two more were helped out on foot. >> a man was hit by a light rail train in the south bay in southwest expressway at stokes street after 9:00 in san jose. authorities say the man was chasing his dog weapon he --

when he was hit. 25 people were on the train at time and the lights and gates were working. >> pilot who died has been identified when his small plane crashed. considerry packer lightly jumped from the experimental aircraft when it caught fire seconds after taking off from the livermore airport. the plane crashed in a field just north of interstate 580 and his body was found 300 yards from the plane. sparks started a brushfire but that was contained after burning 1.5 acre. parker was a pilot and an aircraft mechanic. today, the f.b.i. will release details on a crackdown on human trafficking. the separation included arrests in the bay area. we were embedded with f.b.i. and local police on a raid.
