tragedy. matt? in the past half hour, a memorial has popped up at stokes and southwest expressway for the man who was hit and killed by a train. here is video, candle, now worries, a rock, a necklace placed next to the track. the victim was in his 50's and was running after a dog when he was hit and killed after 9:00. 25 people were on the train at the time. they were unharmed and transported to another location. the lights and signals were all operating properly. we are relying on the san jose police department to conduct the information we will take the operator for testing as part of our normal procedure and impound the train. >> san jose police traffic investigation team was called.

the area was blocked out. it is the second fatal accident this year at the intersection. a 14-year-old girl was hit and killed in january when riding her bicycle. we have seen light rail trains moving through so the light rail service is operating normally this morning. developing news in san francisco, where police are investigating the series of suspicious fires. we are learning this morning that newspaper racks in two separate locations were set on fire about seven hours ago. those fires followed two other fires set earlier yesterday, and authorities say a fire near st. patrick's church happened in broad daylight with a lot of pedestrians spark add few hours after another fire at a construction site as 2nd and howard. this was no major damage at either scene, after a series of fires the last few weeks. our reporter will have details coming up in 30 minutes. >> the san mateo brick is back

weekend. the latest a few hours ago with amy hollyfield south of market area. >> christian, -- kristen this building was targeted behind me at howard and 2nd street. this is one in a string of arsonists. they struck again last night. police say two newspaper stands were set on fire ten minutes of each ear, first at mission and then how war at 11 o'clock last night and not far where from police responded yesterday morning at 2en and howard. a witness heard a loud bang and heard a can flying. no one was hurt. another fire included a dozen of them. police don't know why someone is doing this but they have formed
