mission street areas. we're live with the developing news. a man remains in custody and police are now trying to see if he might be connected to any of the other suspicious fires in this area over the last couple weeks. police say they have a suspect but he has not been charged he's being held just afternoon today over the last weeks there have been a dozen fires set in south of market area. the most dangerous inside of a parking garage last week. following that fire, police stepped up patrols in the area. >> it takes one good night of wind we saw what happened south of market the building went up. >> she's talking about the fire in china basin this march.

that was ruled an accident but quickly grew into a five-alarm blaze, causing millions in damage. many fires set over the last few weeks have been at construction sites at the lumina development. four fires have been set. someone was able to sneak into the already-completed garage and set fire to this mercedes-benz. police say the man arrested today has been ruled out as a suspect in that blaze so the investigation continues and any help is appreciated. >> if you see people loading around that shouldn't be there based on your knowledge that is one thing to look at. if you see someone carrying containers. >> workers at some sites tell us they've added security guards and installed more surveillance cameras. there is a coordinated effort to stop whoever is setting these fires. in san francisco, abc7 news >> two-story home in orinda considered a total loss after

flames raced through today the fire broke out just after 6:30 inside of this house on terry lane. it's in the sleepy hollow area of the city. three people escaped without getting hurt. firefighters had to battle the fire after part of the building collapsed the cause of the fire is still under investigation >> a lot of us struggle to find parking in san francisco neighborhoods but would you be willing to pay for that space? there is an app for that. the city attorney says there will be a fine for it, too. we have more on the monkey business leanne? >> let's pretend just a moment this is my car and i'm parked here. and space belongs to the city of san francisco we've been there, searching for a spot to open up.
