28 year department veteran was hurt when the trick flipped loaded with 3,000 pounds of water and foam. >> he is one of our more experienced firefighters at the station. he was wearing his seatbelt. i got an initial report a firefighter unsnapped the seatbelt. >> ow is stationed at ocean land airport for seven years and recovering at highland hospital in oak. firefighters turned out throughout the day if a show of support. >> oakland police are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead and a man injured. it happened before 7:00 last night near douglas and eads avenue in east oak. the woman was in her 20's and a 31-year-old was shot in the foot. officers gathered evidence at the scene.

they have fought said if they knew each other. >> neighbors in union city are waking up with heavy hearts after an elderly man died in a house fire yesterday. investigators know where in the house the fire started but trying to figure out, why? >> my god. >> the house on san carlos way went up an instant, huge plumes of black smoke exploded into the sky. >> we saw smoke coming but the flames were big. >> people rubbed to the single-story house to help. they knew an elderly man lived here with his adult son outside on the drive when the fire started. the neighbor is a retired firefighter and could only make it halfway through the side before he had to turn around. >> it was so black and hard to see. our eyes were watering. >> he wanted to save the victim but could not. >> i know the guy. he is a very nice man. kind to everyone.

here is a look at what is going on coming into san francisco, it is mid-50's, and ferry building is 58 and crissy field is 54 and across the golden gate bridge, west portal is cool at 52 and headed to downtown it is 54 degrees. we have money 50's everywhere until you get to pittsburg at 65. tracy is 72 degrees. here is a look from our camera, you can see the unfurled cameras and how diffused the top of the bay bridge hooks because of the lower hanging clouds. less sunshine and cool breezes today. temperatures are not going to make it up to the levels of yesterday. spotty drizzle this morning and tomorrow morning and, possibly, a last push on friday morning before the heat wave develops especially inland, sunday, monday and tuesday. we will look at what is going to happen today: below average temperatures from 72 in milpitas to 77 in san jose and cupertino and mid-80's in los gatos and morning were hill and gilroy.
