the only item is a vote on the a's lease extension. in oakland, abc7 news. >> breaking news out of fairfield. firefighters are trying to put out a house fire on tulip street. you can see that one home is just gutted. but solano county fire reports a second home might be damaged as well. we understand the fire was burning intwo garages crews have things under control now. >> things are under control in blossom hill road that broke out just after 2:00 on warring drive. crews say the fire was tough to fight because the roof trapped flames inside. at one point, firefighters had to pull back because flames just became too intense we've just learned everybody inside was able to get out safely but one firefighter did get a minor injury. >> the golden gate bridge is a

9:30. but he didn't. a lawyer said he doesn't appear present the judge responded in that case, i'll issue a bench warrant for his arrest. the fbi rushed agents to his home in mountain view. they headed to an apartment in santa clara. where he was known to spend time. a half hour later the fbi found him, reportedly because he wore a tracking device a condition of release on top of the bond. the 53-year-old man appeared in court he said he thought the hearing was later in the day, not in the morning. the judge accepted his excuse today's hearing was to discuss the request for a private attorney he said he couldn't go onto the computer because of orders to prohibit him from using the internet he called it a great inconvenience. the judge shot back, you face

why did you decide you'd speak up? >> the only reason i'm here is to tell his story to try to stop this happening again. >> how did you learn that your son was the shooter? >> i thought he was a victim. it wasn't until 4:45 a.m i found out by going on the internet that he was the main suspect, there is only one killer. and when i saw that, it was like, it's one's worst nightmare. i can't describe the feelings >> mr. rod ger elliott is your son he is dead. how do you mourn a child that others villify? >> it's very, very hard after reading the journal, i had a lot of anger for him.
