tomorrow even hotter. cornell. developing news out of antioch where authorities are investigating a shooting. officials with contra costa fire say two helicopters and ambulances were called to a scene. not exactly sure how many people were shot. we will bring you the updates as they become available. a suspect is in custody following a high-speed chase in a police shooting that happened last night around 9:30. someone driving a pickup led officers on a chase along highway 4 in pittsburgh. at one point the suspect stopped to let a boy under 18 out of the truck. suspect then rammed his vehicle into police cars, and officers opened fire. suspect was taken to the medical center and is expected to be okay. the chase and shooting is under investigation. developing news out of concord where one person is critically injured after driving their vehicle off a freeway.

area because there will be a number of street closers and a lot of people. bart is running longer trains today. muni will be rerouted. and the pink triangle i will went up. it has made an annual appearance during the weekend. it is a symbol of pride and remembrance. fireworks are legal in some communities. sales began yesterday in most of the cities, but you can only set the fireworks off in the city where you bought them. there's been a huge pot bust in lake county. on tuesday and wednesday of last week, the lake county sheriffs narcotics task force found and destroyed more than 38,000 marijuana plants. the sheriff's department sent us these pictures. plants were growing in corn fields and on vacant lots. a man under arrest tried to

escape. the man was handcuffed in the back of this patrol car yesterday morning. he had been arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. officers say he somehow got his hand in front. body and forced his way into the driver's seat. the cruiser ended up on the poles after the man broke through a garage door. the man now faces four additional and a lot more serious charges. happening today. several almeda county law enforcement agencies and emergency responders will be participating in a training exercise in san leandro. the exercise will focus on the response to an act of shooting incident and will be based on data from similar incidents nationwide. many agencies from several cities will participate. the exercise will be held at the bay fair center on 14th street at 6:00 p.m.. family of a missing gilroy woman is offering a $5,000 reward to help find her. 39-year-old naomi was last seen

leaving her sisters home on foot last sunday. she didn't have her purse or cell phone with her. she's hispanic, 5'5", 150 pounds. she was last seen wearing a baseball gap, a jacket, capri pants and light blue shoes. in arizona firefighters are getting the upper hand on a fire burning from wednesdays. there was a 5,000-acre fire burning near the mexico border. nearly 1,000 structures are threatened. a gas line break and two explosions helped fuel a house fire yesterday afternoon. the fire started in the home garage. as the fire spread, the gas line ruptured and crews had to back off and wait for pg&e to shuted off the gas. everyone got out safely. that's got news. today is the start of a nervous week for firefighters. fireworks stands opened yesterday in some cities. san bruno, firefighters handed

out a letter from the city explaining the rules. they are designed to prevent injury and fires. they want to make people aware of the rules and firefighters make extra patrols on july 4th. >> it's left up to the individual. there's always the extra concern. you can't watch everybody. >> i was driving by yesterday ask the hills -- there's no green. that would be my worry that a fire starts over there. >> the fire department taught people living in the hayward woods and area how to clear at all grass and brush from their homes to reduce firefighters there. it's officials the gloves can come off in california restaurants. yesterday jerry brown repealed a law requiring them to using gloves when handling food or utensils. chefs complained it was too restrictive and required

program train hard. they practice every week in berkeley and practice. he recently won the national championship in indianapolis. >> we trained really hard to win the national; and we deserve it. >> stanley scored 13 goals that day. but his confidence hasn't always been there. before power soccer he was a different person. >> it's life-changing. got a lot of confidence, leadership skills. >> a range of disabilities are present on this court. but once the ball is down and the game starts, the symptoms seem to disappear and all that exists is the game. the one pushing them toward success is head coach chris finn. he not only led them to a national win but put the national u.s. power soccer team to the top in brazil next month.

southwest wind at 28 miles an hour. 58 in livermore. cool temperatures in the north bay at 52 degrees. from our sutro tower camera, looks beautiful this early. enjoy it. it be getting quite warm today. but the hottest day is tomorrow with near 100-degree heat and slight cooling on tuesday. that will be the trend. temperatures aren't going to be that dramatically cooler in the days ahead. we will seep the warm around, especially inland and look for very little patchy fog at the coast for the first week of july. so no fog to speak of and high pressure is going to build in today. as it is it, the temperatures climb. get a slight northerly gradient and that's really what is going to kick the temperatures up in the inland valleys and that's why we will see so many 90s. with all the heat we will get the sea breeze back. it will be just at the coast. livermore for the week ahead, low 90s. over 100 tomorrow. and you see the cooling on

tuesday. but the rest of the week will still be in the upper 80s. so as we go through the afternoon today, look at all the 60s arriving here. a few 90s toward morgan hill and gilroy. 86 in santa clara. santa cruz 79 degrees. more low and mid-80s redwood city. upper 60s at the coast and there is no fog a beautiful day today. low 70s in san francisco. in the north bay you see the con tours with the mid-90s up through cloverdale and clear lake. petaluma 86. look for low 80s by the water in hercules. upper 70s with the low and mid-80s the further you get toward union city and castro valley. head inland and take a look. boy, we are getting awfully coasty with 98 brentwood, 92 pleasanton. the nicest whether will be here. temperatures climbing through the 60s. mid-70s by 4:00. the accuweather forecast shows the heat continuing to build into tomorrow.

>> good morning, everybody. we are starting this half-hour with a look at the weather. here's meteorologist lisa argen. good morning, lisa. >> hi, cornell. good morning. look at this, no fog. this is a view from the roof camera. it is nice and clear all around the bay, even at the coast. we are clear. temperatures already 60 degrees in fairfield. southwest wind of 25 miles an hour. many 90s coming into play today in the east bay valleys n the low 50s santa rosa and napa and getting close parts of the north bay. right now we are looking at just a couple areas of fog. but those do disappear. notice the 100s in the valley. it will come into play tomorrow. we are just beginning to see high pressure building in throughout the day today. 70s in the city with upper 80s and mid-80s for the santa clara valley. and even some 90s up toward santa rosa. we will talk about details and how warm it's going to get tomorrow in a few minutes. cornell. >> thank you so much.

president is seeking more than $2 billion if respond to the flood of immigrants illegally crossing the u.s.-mexican border. and also to help immigrant parents traveling without their parents. we have the latest. >> the drive to avert a humanitarian crisis and help tens of thousands of immigrant children along the mexican border is gathering steam. >> we can't help all, but we can help some. >> dallas county judge, clay jenkins, on saturday, promises dallas is stepping up and offering temporary housing for 2,000 children caught coming to texas without parents. >> we are going to take these parents from chain linkedden closers and put them in passionate care. >> over 50,000 children have swept over the border since october. federal law said the children must be transferred to the custody of the health and human services department within 72 hours after their arrest for

sea breeze developing later this afternoon. 65 delta and concord 60. good morning santa rosa, 52. temperatures cooler in the north bay. and finally from the sutro tower camera you will see the haze out there. it's clear and we look for a warm to hot day today with near 100-degree heat inland tomorrow. then a slight cooling on tuesday. we are looking at temperatures still above normal for the next seven days. so as we look at our radar and satellite composite, high pressure still sits offshore. it's going to build in today. that's what's going to allow the heat to move in from the valley. in fact, those 100s won't be far off. with a little bit of a sea breeze today, you will have to be right at the coast. we should see temperatures near 70 in some parts of the shoreline through tomorrow. here's a look at san jose. temperatures today in the 80s for much of the south bay. the santa clara valley. mid-90s tomorrow, the warmest
