find your inner minion only at the despicable me minion mayhem ride at universal studios hollywood. live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> more than a thousand firefighters are on the line in napa county surrounding a wildfire that is threatening hundreds of homes going on for two days now. despite cooler temperaturessor night the fire jumped from 2,700 to 3,200 acres. this is new video from sky 7. five structures have burned to the background and 160 evacuated and hundreds more threatened. containment is only at 30 percent. the fire is burning in pope

valley in napa county. amy hollyfield has the latest information. amy? >> yes, we got briefed by firefighters and they say they pleased with the progress. there is not the sense of urgency of yesterday. look at this hillside, the smoke is coming off of it lingering allest area. the fire is letting its impact be known and it is really starting to surrender to firefighters. there are a thousand firefighters here and we a shift change happening this morning and firefighters worked all night long and they did not want the fire to be unattended but the weather overnight really gave them a break. 3,200 acres have burned and it is very black long bucks canyon road and five structures have burned. we have just confirmed one of those was a home and the four others were outhouses. firefighters are hoping that is it as far as damage. they will not say they have the

upper hand but they are feeling good about the situation. >> it is fought actively burning because progress is made. what i mean by "progress" as far as temperatures cooling down last night and the humidity is reasonable so we were able to get along the fire's edge if reference to lines being cut is is we made progress that way. the moisture in the air this morning, the low temperatures, they are helping to keep the fire in place. >> here is the scene yesterday, the fire was intense and fueled by winds and dry brush and grew quickly. there is a mandatory evacuation in place. it is still in place. if the fire kicks up again they want to be ready and they don't want to let people in their homes to have to have them leave

again. the high school is open for evacuees if they need a place to go. you can see the damage in the area from the fire so it tore through here. they are bringing in more resources today to keep an eye on it because they do not want to experience that again. such a difficult situation, amy hollyfield. >> leyla gulen is here for meteorologist mike nicco and has been following the weather conditions. firefighters are facing what, leyla gulen? >> it is very dry. what is everyone concerned about in the wind. we have six miles per hour wind in napa and closer to the scene of the fire it is about a seven miles per hour breeze. it is supposed to be calm this afternoon but the gusts could pick up overnight hours. temperatures are currently at 91 degrees so very hot. very dry. of course, there is plenty of fuel with the "7 on your side" for the rest of the bay area coming up. >> thank you, leyla gulen. there is special relief for all

the different agencies battling the napa fire. the governor says the state secured a grant from fema to cough some of the costs of fighting the fire burn near pope valley and will allow agencies responding to the fire to recover up to 75 percent we of their costs. we have continuing coverage on air and online with the coverage continuing now on twitter@abcnews. . investigators are trying to figure out what caused a house fire that broke out after 1:30 this morning with flames up to 30' in the high. it took 15 minute toss get the fire under control. the person who lived there was not home at the time. also new, a man in san francisco walked out on his own after firefighters helped rescue him from a cliff by mile rock beach. the man called 9-1-1 for help

after 3:00 a.m. and may have been assaulted. he was lucky to be in an area accessible by foot because the fog and wind would have made a rope rescue extremely difficult. he was taken to san francisco john hospital to be checked. mountain view police released a surveillance video of a man would robbed a bank yesterday afternoon. investigators are hoping somebody will recognize this man and give a call. he is accused of robbing a bank on castro street in mountain view and got away with $1,400 cash. >> washington hospital in fremont has stepped up security measures this morning following a bomb hoax. there were reports of bombmaking materials found at the hospital. everyone entering the building is under going increased security screenings although the f.b.i. is not involved because the threat was unfounded. >> bart service is back on schedule after a series of

problems caused long delays during the commute. tons of passengers forced off of one train in oakland after a malfunctioning door put it out of service and this was happening and the search for the bicycle street brought train service to a stop. the delays were as long as 30 minutes but it added an extra hour to some commutes. >> in solano county health officials have confirmed the first human case of west nile virus this year. the resident is now home from the hospital after being treated for west nile meningitis. officials have not said if the patient is a man or woman but confirmed they are between 40 and 50. west nile is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito. human cases are confirmed in the other local counties, as well. >> new details on immigration situation in southern california. one bus carrying undocumented immigrants is on the move again this morning. protesters if riverside stopped

three buses yesterday. katie marzullo joins us from the newsroom with more. >> the move happened before the sun came up this morning. one of the three homeland security buses that had to re-route to the san diego area yesterday left the border patrol station. >> around 12:45 the homeland security bus pulls from custom facilities and you can see two people wearing hospital masks sitting behind the driver and the ones along the side of the bus are covered making it impossible do see who is inside. after the bus is on a freeway, border patrol agents stop other cars including news crews from following it. >> the bus is one of three buses stopped by protests yesterday. on board were 140 undocumented immigrants, many children. they were flown to california to ease overcrowding at facilities in texas where an overwhelming number of people have been crossing the border. protesters say "enough is

enough." >> i wish america would be america again because it is not. it is just not pointed to the hispanics, it is everyone needs to go through legally. >> counter protesters showed up and the situation escalated. >> they got what they wanted and the buses had to turn around. this is hardly the end. the city leaders were told to expect 140 immigrants every 72 hours. >> there are new details of health problems among the immigrants including ten people mostly children reportedly taken to hospitals with unknown illnesses and seven are quarantined at a border patrol station with scabies and an east bay congressman will be at the border crossing in texas tomorrow for homeland security field hearing on the situation. >> we have much more ahead

>> a fiery explosion caught on surveillace camera. a food truck blew up in north philadelphia yesterday. 11 people were injured. the flames and the shockwaves, a mother and daughter working in the truck are in critical condition with burns across a substantial portion of their body. the explosion happened outside an auto body shop. investigators believe a propane tank was the cause. >> tonight, caltran will close part of interstate 280 for the holiday weekend in san francisco. northbound 280 will shut down from 101 split into the city starting at 9:00 p.m. and the roadway will not re-open until 5:00 on monday morning. the bridge hinges need to be replaced between caesar chavez and 24th so the freeway can bend and flex. crews did it on the southbound section memorial day week. >> we have major golf news. harding park, a public golf course of san francisco will host the first major

more than a thousand firefighters are attacking this 3,200 acre fire threatening nearly 400 structures. five structures have already burned to the ground including a home. cal fire says low temperatures and moisture today are helping crews make good progress. right now it is about 30 percent contained. >> if you are in san francisco's portrero hill neighborhood there is a marmot that has found its way into the city. it was spotted under the deck of a home near 25th and rhode island and it looks something like this. wildlife emergency services is working to catch critter but they want to know how it got here. marmot's live in the sierra but they can hitch requireds to lower elevations. >> jeremy meeks has been called the most sexy criminal in america because of his mug shot and that look has landed him an
