command center in san jose at 10:30 last night, extra plans were brought in and everyone who called 9-1-1 got the help they needed with the calls just being re-routed. nick is at e.m.s. headquarters with a report coming up at 5:30. five alameda strike teams are headed to napa county to help with firefighting efforts and the we butt canyon fire burned 3,800 acres. two homes have been destroyed and seven buildings and sometime only 30 percent contained. pg&e restored power to areas near the fire and now the fire has interrupted at&t service. many residents staying if a shelter ten miles away and were hoping to go home. >> long store shore, evacuations

may actually experience it this morning along highway one through half moon bay. temperatures in san francisco are mild and 55 degrees and you can see in the mid-50's at walnut creek and 61 in pittsburg and 58 in pleasanton. more breezy than the last few days, at five miles per hour western breeze at half moon bay and 13-miles-per-hour gusts in napa and that is what we want to keep our eye on because of the firefight so it is more gusty than we experienced yesterday and that helped the firefighters gain an upper hand. high winds and 26 miles per hour in fairfield and 24-miles-per-hour gusts in oakland so if you are driving through that area, keep both happens on the wheel and i notice you have a highway advisory for the altamont pass. it will be more of the same today morning with spotty drizzle along the coast again and the fog coming in and it could hamper the visibility headed into work and hopefully you will have the day off.

the santa clara communications center, and the overnight problem forced emergency officials to scramble and re-route 9-1-1 calls. nick? >> there were no serious issues. that is because they do have a plan in place for situations of this nature. however, they working to figure out exactly what went wrong. we were here last night when they established the command center outside. it started around 10:30 with a power failure. the center could not handle 9-1-1 calls from santa clara county. the calls were routed through san jose police and fire dispatch and relayed to county crews. the santa clara, e.m.s. director explained how the calls were handled. >> if the call is for e.m.s., first responder is dispatched from the local fire department. the call will be relayed up here and we will dispatch an ambulance.
