evening will be fairly clear for most of the bay area viewing and hot days inland this weekend and the full seven-day outlook is ahead but we will talk about traffic. so far, i have to say it is holiday lite and maybe some folks are going to take the day off. but northbound 280 is shut down until monday morning at 5:00 a.m. when it is expected to re-open and there is another project getting done while the closure is in place but it could impact the commute if you come in to the city for the only drive and the afternoon, as well, but northbound 101 at windsor river road an accident looks to be a stalled car. highway four westbound from antioch to hercules is 30 minutes and northbound 87 from 85 to the san jose airport is under ten minutes. caltran is on schedule they say to re-open northbound i-280

in san francisco for monday morning commute. nick is near the freeway with more on the upgrade work going on around-the-clock. nick? >> i am not an engineer but if they say they are going to be on schedule i have to believe them because we can see them working right now. look over my shoulder: they have been at this continuously and not stopped. we were here wednesday to let you know of the northbound i-280 closing and the likelihood of backups is happening. officials started the planned five day closure on a stretch of northbound i-280 on wednesday night can the closing between highway 101 and i-280 interchange in downtown san francisco will last through the fourth of july weekend until 5:00 a.m. monday. this closure is for work between caesar chavez and 24th.

eric. the valley transportation authority is providing extra service today for two reasons: to ferry people to san jose fire works show and also as a test run for game days at levi stadium. the v.t.a. ors with the 49ers to put up barricades and signs with a dry run and the extra service is to pick sure everything goes spottily when the season begins. they on schedule to complete a $14 million extra track to the stadium by mid-august. >> concerns this morning by bay area residents over the fire danger posed by illegal fire works, firefighters say with low humidity there is still an increased risk for fire with hundreds of commercial grade fireworks exploding overhead. police and fire official say they plan to be out in force to crack down on illegal fireworks and amy hollyfield will have more on the crackdown and the potential fire danger coming up in a report in 30 minutes.
