transamerica pyramid we see blue skies and to get us going we have the coastal fog and that will burn off and especially in the peninsula areas, san francisco, revealing mostly sunshine and by 4:00 p.m. sunshine and 90 and 62 along the coast. tonight for julyup fireworks shows we could see fog in some places but mostly clear. i will have the full seven-day outlook ahead. it is holiday light and well start with the 280 closing northbound side all lanes are hut down on the extension from 101 into downtown and this is going to last until monday at 5:00 a.m. this caused quite the backup as you making the drive into san francisco and the morning is not such a problem because it is fourth of july with holiday lite but in the afternoon in the city, it could be a jam. westbound 80 at davis street we

needs to be replaced and the official start of the planned five day closing on a stretch of northbound i-280 when night to replace the hinge and there are dozens of hinges. the new hinges are three or four times as long and that is what they are building here. when the work is finished, all drives will see is a black line in the road. caltran is using the closing to change light bulbs and clean storm drains. the closing between highway 101 and the i-280 interchange and downtown san francisco will last throughout the fourth of july week end. the hinge being replaced is one of three scheduled for replacement and allowing two parts of the bridge on the highway to expand and contract during strong movement like earthquake. again, they say they are on schedule and we are keeping an

eye on things and we will give you an update on traffic and all of that in 45 minutes. the valley transportation authority is providing extra service today for did seasons: one to ferry people to san jose fire works and also a test run for game day at levi stadium. they put up barricades and signs outside the stadium and the dry run and today's extra service is to make sure it all goes smoothlien the season begins. they are on schedule to complete a $14 million extra track to the stadium by mid-august. concerns by some residents over the fire danger posed by illegal fire works and firefighters say with high humidity there is an increased ring of fire with hundreds of commercial grade fire works exploding over head and police and fire officials plan to be in full to crackdown on illegal fireworks. amy hollyfield will have more on
