driver died. to do not know if drugs or alcohol were involved before 2:00 a.m. at santa theresa boulevard. they have blocked off the area and one block of santa theresa is closed. you have to go around this area. it will be closed for a couple of hours. an officer who was protecting the perimeter was hit by a car. his car was hit by a driver who was confused by the shutdown. that driver ran into the police car so those two cars have been towed away. the officer was taken to the hospital to be checked out. he was shaken up but is expected to be okay. they will investigate the fatal collision for a while and it could be shut down for a couple of hours. it is just one block. they will help navigate you around this if you do need to come this way.

santa cruz police have arrested a high priced prostitute for injecting a technical executive with a lethal dose of heroin and leaving him to die on his luxury yacht. the victim was 51-year-old forrest hayes a google executive surveillance video shows the 26-year-old alix tichleman did not even try to help him or call sunday after he suffered medical complications. though arrested her fourth of july after posing as a potential client. she faces several charges including murder and is expected to be in court today. katie marzullo will have a report in the next half hour. today, rail his are planned in the east bay over $1 billion modernization project of chevron's richmond refinery. supporters and opponents are holding ahead of a richmond city planning project are going do have a hearing.
