deputy. the deputy thought a rifle was real. the deputy was cleared of wrongdoing. a broken water main has sent thousands of gallons of water pouring into the basement0s union square's luxury shops. crews spend the afternoon cleaning up. workers from a construction company hit an eight-inch water main at 4:00 this more than. hundreds of thousands of gallons of water flooded basements based storerooms of high-end snow. and forced those stores and others to close. the noise, the damage, and the inconvenience has caused some major problems today. >> that is just awful. this is the worst. the worst, most ridiculous inconvenience to us and our

clients. we just care about our clients. we called them and said the whole street is blocked off, you can't get through. clients are late. >> the fire department doesn't think much, if any, merchandize was damaged. crews will be back out tomorrow morning to finish up the work. >> san jose firefighters were able to quickly put out a grass fire behind yerba buena high school. crews had it knocked down and under control in less than an hour. but still firefighters took defensive positions near house just in case flames threatened homes. nobody was hurt and no structures were damaged. a brush fire near clayton sparked bay car accident last night is almost fully contained. pharrell says the mary-fire has burned 80 acres since last night. a car knocked over a power pole on marsh creek road and sparks started the fire. residents are now allowed back home. no buildings were damaged. tonight, the family of a missing morgan hill teen is

reacting to the newly released grand jury stript that led to her suspected murderer's charging. despite not finding her body, prosecutors believe they have enough evidence to seek the death penalty. sergio quintana has details. reporter: searchers scoured rough terrain near morgan hill, part of the ongoing efforts to find 15-year-old sierra lamar, a day after new details were released in the indictment against garcia torres. >> i think all of this, even though it's hard to read and except, i think it's going to help. >> this is just a portion of the 1900 page transcript detailing the case prosecutors presented to the santa clara county grand injury. with no body they had to rely extensively on dna evidence. they discovered his dna on a

pair of her pants found in a field near her home. they found her dna on an interior armrest of his red vw jetta, and her dna on a glove found in the trunk. in that red car legal analyst steven clark says investigators also found compelling physical evidence. >> one key piece of evidence for the prosecution is that sierra lamar's hair was found on rope contained in garcia torres' trunk. >> steve lamar says the family got a briefing from the district attorney before the stripts were released -- transcripts were released yesterday but has not read through the document. >> right now i'm saying, no, because -- maybe i'll get to that point eventually but i need -- i know what i need to know. >> he wants volunteers to know the search isn't over. >> it's a strong case already, and i think we can make it even strong. >> he is hoping someone might still provide information that will help find his daughter's body. in morgan hill, abc7 news.

>> a man wanted for allegedly sexually abusing a child in wisconsin has been hiding out in the bay area for years. fremont police arrested the 41-year-old william torres july 1st. police in green bay arrived him in 2008 but after he post evidence bail he took off. fremont pd says they found torres after he gave them a fake name when officers were checking the registration of a vehicle belonging to a house mate. >> a collision on the golden gate bridge brought traffic to stand still. all lanes were blocked while highway patrol and emergency crews tended to the victims. happened just before 1:30. all lanes were reopened by 2:00. >> type of, some legends of candlestick park will be back for a final football celebration. but it's more than just an all-star gathering. nick smith is at the stick with the look at today's big event. hi, nick. >> hi, ama.

>> new details about personal information of oakland unified school employees that it might have been accomplice immediate. the district is taking steps to correct the problem and make sure it doesn't happen again. the i-team first reported thursday valuable personal information like social security numbers and w-2 forms were left unguarded at an abandoned district building. in a letter, the superintendent said the district is offering current and former employees credit protection services. wilson said ousd has hired crews to remove the documents. work should be done by monday.

in the meantime, the district says guards will watch the building 24 hours a day until it's empty. the netherlands beat out brazil this afternoon, 3-0, to finish third in the world cup. dozens of soccer fans brought fanfare to st. james park in san jose to watch the game on the big screen. all part of the city's department of parks, wreck nation and neighborhood services pilot program called summer of fun. we will have highlights of the game sports. for all your fans of brazil, google has your back. it recognizes it's been a tough week after the devastating loss to germany. they decided to spare search engines from the bigger brazilian negative trends, like the word shame. google said the decision was motivated bay desire to go viral and pure sympathy. >> tomorrow watch germany and argentina in the world cup finals here on abc7. you can catch the game on the go

half tank had a $1.2 million bid. >> as seaworld battles bad press after the release of the documentary, "black fish." an analysis by the "associated press" shows some marine mammals are living longer in parks than in the wild. dolphins and sea lions live longer in an different than the wild but the ap reports killer whales in captivity do not live as long as those in the wild. they suffer psychological problems and can lash out violently. seaworld denies that and says close contact allows for better care. >> the acknowledge to have access to them is the key difference. we don't have that capacity with animals in the wild so they're sort of hidden. >> the analysis of government data shows orcas born at sea world live about as long as they would in the wild. it's time to get a look at our weekend weather. frances dinglasan has the

latest. >> a gorgeous weekend ahead but saw quite a few clouds at the coast. you can see live doppler 7hd clear around the bay and inland. you can also see with this live shot from the exploratorium towards the bay bridge. there's a small craft advisory for the bay until 11:00. winds from the west, 25 knots. san francisco, 60. oakland, 65. san car lazy, 66 -- carlos, 66, half moon bay, 57. clear over the south bay. san jose, 70s. fairfield and concord, 79 right now. from the east bay, as we look out towards the west, we can see the clouds right at the coast. we'll start to spill in overnight so we'll see increasing clouds, warmer temperatures tomorrow, and then a summer spread next week where we see 60s at the coast and 90s inland. so tonight, the clouds move into parts of the bay and even some valleys.

so we'll wake up to temperatures in the mid-fifths in. so to the overnight lows will be 54 in san francisco, 55 in oakland, 57, san jose. antioch, 60. high pressure is building west and this is going to warm up temperatures tomorrow, and also into monday, where we might even be mere 100 in some locations. look for high of 82 in san jose, sunshine, hot in morgan hill and gilroy, and the 90s, and some low 80s through los altos, mountain view, and at the coast, cloudy and breezy, so daly city, 63. downtown san francisco, 68. 80s in the north bay, petaluma, novato, and napa, 86. then hot as well the clear lake, 98. mild and comfortable in the east bay, and the 70s for the most part. 74, oakland. 70, castro valley. 77, fremont. look for temperatures to bump up in the inland areas so we'll see

warm numbers, walnut creek, san ramon, and pleasanton, upper 80s and mid-90s through antioch and brentwood. i want to show you the temperature trend for livermore. you see how much warmer it's going to be tomorrow. we'll warm up and then even into monday, we'll be a good eight to nine degrees above average. then we start to cool down tuesday, and wednesday, and then slightly ramp up for the end of next weekend. so that's also reflected in the accuweather seven-day forecast. so inland we'll be hot monday. then about ten degrees cooler by thursday. around the bay, we'll be warm as well tomorrow and monday, then we ramp down slowly, and then of course at the coast, we're always in the 60s there. >> and the clouds. >> very standard summer weather at the coast. >> thank you so much, frances. >> rick quan is in for shu, who

is playing football tonight and we have some giants news. >> talking about some baseball and my all-time favorite plays were honored. the giants hoping to get an emotional lift by seeing former san francisco pitcher dave dravi he lost his pitching arm but the courage he shows has not been forgotten. marco scutaro was back in the lineup for the first anytime the season. he was out with a back injury. he went 0-3 with a walk, ryan vogelsong pitched well but made this mistake. arizona picked up some insurance in the seventh. parra, singles home hill to make it 2-0. that would be the final. the giants have been shut out in vogelsong's last three starts. >> the steve kerr coaching era got underway with a victory as the warriors capture their summer league opener.
