now it has happened. >> he was traveling to indonesia to see where his grandfather was born before heading to bali for a family vacation. passengerthe passenget plane were dutch. the plane was flying from amsterdam to malaysia. 44 malaysians were on board. a third were airline employees. a large group heading to a conference in australia was on the plane. aid uh sigh tee president -- society president was one of six delegates confirmed killed, but up to 100 more could have been on board. several dozen ucf researchers are attending the conference that starts on sunday. many knew him personally. >> he is somebody that was part of the glue to the larger community and brought people together and brought difficult issues to the table. >> organizers of this sunday's aidswalk plan to honor the researchers killed when that

plane was shot down. we will follow this developing story on air and on-line. our coverage continues on our website, abc7news.com and on twitter at abc7 news bay area. we have developing news now. cal train service on the peninsula has been stopped after a train hit a vehicle that was on the tracks. it happened just before 10:00 p.m. in brisbane near highway 101 and sierra point parkway. nobody was hurt. right now the vehicle is wedged between the north and southbound tracks. service will not run again until the vehicle is removed. bart said it will honor riders cal train tickets. to catch a thief, that's what they are trying to do at one san francisco start up that has been targeted by a boring lar. the company -- by a burglar. they asked for more pictures of a woman that could be behind a series of break ins. sergio has more. >> reporter: we just watched the last lights of the tech firm here go out. you can imagine that all of the employees are gone, but

over the last several weeks a nighttime prow leer has been getting -- prow leer has been getting into this south of market start up and a few others across the city and mayor making off with thousands of dollars of computer equipment. this is video given by build zoom. you can see the burglar calm be walk into the office after hours. she gives the place a quick look just to make sure no one is around. then she snags a bag from under a desk and starts digging through the office and for stuff to snatch. >> they want all apple stuff. they have pc desktops. they left those. if there was an apple product, they grabbed it. >> their office building has been broken into three times in the last several weeks. >> it felt like an inside job where they had the key. the first time they knew the alarm code. >> the upstairs nay -- neighbors had seven laptops stolen. they installed a surveillance camera and this is what they

found. after picking through a few minutes the alarm goes off and the startled burglar high tales out. police didn't offer specifics of the break in and they didn't say if there was any particular targeting of tech firms in the city. they did, however, note a recent increase in commercial burglaries. another start up called demand local was also broken into on beldon place. it is not clear if the same person is responsible for these incidents. but peterson is hoping to catch this burglar. he posted the video on youtube. >> i just thought it might be in the community of my followers. somebody could have an idea who this person was. >> he is offering $1,000 to anyone who can identify her. in san francisco, abc7 news. >> we now know the names of the three bank robbery suspects involved in that deadly shootout with police in stockton. 30-year-old gilbert renteria, junior and alex martinez of stockton were both killed by police. police say both men

were documented norteno gang members with criminal records. the father of one of the men say police acted appropriately when they shot his son during the gunbattle. jaime ramos survived and was arrested. the driver who dropped the other three off before the robbery. the black sedan was found tonight and the car was seen on surveillance video shortly before the robbery on wednesday. misty was used as a shield. her 12-year-old daughter was waiting in the car. >> i wake up and i'm hoping it is a dream and that my mom is going to be there, but she is not. it sucks. >> the family is requesting to see video footage and audio recordings and dispatch logs from the incident to find out who fired the shot that killed her. a memorial fund has been set

up for miss tee's family and nearly $60,000 has been raised on-line. find out more on abc7news.com. police in fremont arrested three people in connection with a stabbing on fremont boulevard. the three are accused in the attack. the victim's ex-boyfriend admitted to police he paid the two to beat her up. police released more information about a woman accused of robbing an 8-year-old girl. 46-year-old ladona christian said she stole from a little girl selling candy. she was caught on surveillance video. christian is booked for and wi assault and willful cruelty to a child. still to come on abc7 news at 11:00, local heros coming to the rescue of a 97-year-old veteran evicted from his retirement home. what they did to help get him off the street. >> and the new automotive feature that gives parents the edge. how it helps you keep the kids

first night in his new senior home after being homeless for the 23*eurs time in his -- first time in his life. >> that's an undignified situation. >> he was in world war ii, korea and vietnam and was evicted from the redwood retirement residence in napa. he claimed he was charged $1500 to clean his room which caused him to miss his rent. he said he was reprimanded for singing too much. >> it is a prohibitive situation. nobody can take that. >> because he liked to entertain the residents they felt he was over doing some of that a little . >> they help elderly find homes. when she found out they rallied around him and helped him find a new place. >> they told him you are out, are you on your own, good luck. >> representatives for the redwood retirement residence were unavailable to speak on

will be a nice mild to warm day. speaking of mild, look for lows in the low 60s. very few locations will see lows dropping into the 50s overnight and then tomorrow a hazy sunshine in the south bay with highs ranging from upper 70s to mid80s. on the peninsula we will see upper 70s to 80 in redwood city and loss altos. mid60s on the coast in oastd half moon bay. downtown san francisco high of 67. north bay highs of 78 in santa rosa to 80 in sonoma and 82 in napa. low to mid70s for the most part on the east bay and the inland east bay will see highs s in the mid80s. here is the accu-weather seven-day forecast. after a little muggy weather on sunday, but still a pleasant day for aidswalk and spectators, we get dry air conditions and lower humidity going into next week. and we will have partly to mostly sunny days. the high temperatures in the a steady, mild to warm range and a bit warmer toward the end of the week as the inland highs will climb into the low 90s. >> thank you, spencer.
