police in the north bay are looking for the gunman that shot and wounded a man in marin city. amy is near the scene with the latest information? >> reporter: sheriff's deputies are on the scene working on their case. they are looking for evidence and working on gathering evidence here at the scene. we are at coal drive and drake avenue. the marin county sheriff's office says the victim is a man in his mid 30s. he's not a resident but that he is known to the community. they say he was shot in the head several times but he was shot in one location and then kept going. >> it appears at this point that the shooting took place at one location on coal drive here in marin city and appears that he did in fact after the shooting occurred walk one or two blocks away to the point where he was located by the deputy sheriff. >> reporter: he is in surgery

right now. this happened just after midnight. at this point the marin county sheriff's office has not made any arrests or put out any information about a suspect. reporting live in marin city, amy hollyfield, nbc 7 news. police are investigating a shooting in hayward that sent one person to the hospital. it happened on oliver drive around 9:30 last night. no word on what led up to the shooting. the victim's condition and identity have not been released. abc 7 news reporter matt keller is in hayward and will have a live report coming up in the next half hour. the surviving suspect in a deadly shootout bank robbery is expected to be charged with murder. he's due to appear in court at 1:30 this afternoon. police used a woman as a human shield during a shootout during wednesday's robbery. ramos could face the death

penalty. in the north bay, police are investigating two suspicious deaths before 3:00 yesterday morning police found two people dead inside an upscale >> i'm glad it's an isolated event and that we're safe and that it's sad for all of us. >> two adults were found dead inside the home. a woman in her 40s and a man in his 50s. no word on their relationship. a coroner's report on the cause of death is expected tomorrow. a 9-year-old girl is recovering after being shot while playing in a park in oakland. it happened saturday night in west oakland. witnesses say two groups of men fired shots at each other and the girl was caught in the crossfire. police had made no arrests at last word. to the crisis in the middle east, secretary john mccain is

he headed to cairo this morning after the deadliest day of fighting in gaza. more than 100 palestinians were killed sunday as well as 13 israeli soldiers, two of home held dual u.s./israeli citiz citizenship. 508 palestinians have been killed in the two-week campaign. the crisis is igniting emotions here in the bay area. >> reporter: they came within inches of one another. and at one point pro-israel demonstrators surrounded palestinian supporters. the duelling protests took place in front of temple emmanuel in san francisco where a quiet sol territory gathering inside took a back seat to the confrontation outside. >> this basically is to show one thing. we support our country and our people no matter what happens.

>> stay with abc 7 news for the crisis in the middle east. we'll go live to washington at the top of the effort to stop the fighting. 4:35 now. a gaza teen who received a prosthetic leg in the bay area lost that leg as a result of fighting in the middle east. this is video of him learning to walk last year. he was hurt when a missile hit his home in gaza during fighting in 2006. his prosthetic was destroyed in an attack last week. the palestine children's relief fund now plans to bring him back to the u.s. to replace that prosthetic leg. now the latest in the

downing of malaysia airlines flight 17. ukraine's president ordered a cease-fire in the area surrounding the wreckage site. a group of international experts is arriving in ukraine including two americans. the u.n. security council is considering a resolution demanding access to the area where the plane went down. rebels have recovered the bodies of more than 270 of the 298 passengers. many of them are now sitting in refrigerator box cars. ukraine's prime minister says the country wants to transfer the bodies to amsterdam but the train has not proved and russia has done nothing to assure safe passage. satellite images show how wide the debris field is spread out. images taken yesterday show the wreckage covering a 1,300 acre area. malaysian airlines flight 17 was shot down last thursday. russia denies any involvement and says ukraine's military campaign against the rebels is to blame.

disea diesel spill in wisconsin. 4,000 gallons of diesel were spilled and hazmat teams have it contained. early reports are the train may have struck some cars on another train. happening now, wildfires in washington state are being blamed for at least one death and 150 homes destroyed. more than a dozen fires are burning right now across the northwest. the largest is the carlton complex fire which has burned more than 237,000 acres. 1,300 firefighters are battling the flames and are looking forward to cooler temperatures and lighter winds today to get the upper hand. 2,000 evacuees are being helped get food and shelter. virtually nothing is left untouched from the wildfires 200 miles east of seattle. you can see homes reduced to ash

and the landscape with nothing but the charred remains of trees and shrubs. the deadly crash of a small airplane is blamed for this wildfire in arizona. it happened yesterday afternoon in the mountains near sedona. four people were killed in the crash. four crews, three engines and two helicopters were called in to help put out the fire. happening today, lawyers for l.a. clippers co-owners donald sterling begin laying out their case in the trial that will determine who will own the team. the trial focuses on whether a deal by sterling's estranged wife to sell the team for $2 billion is authorized under a family trust. meanwhile, a judge has rejected a bid to strike the testimony and reports of two doctors who say sterling is mentally incapable of acting as administrator of the family trust. the nba wants sterling out as an owner after his racist remarks were made public. 4:44 now. for nearly three decades, people from around the bay area have come together for aids walk san

so slowly. yellow in there is probably where it's reaching the ground up in the hills and mountains. you can see 128, 121, 12, still getting wet now. radar returns pushing toward roanoke park. you may be dry in just a bit. here's the second story this morning. underneath those sprinkles we have the marine layer and winds. look at fairfield at 20 miles per hour. it's coming off ocean water warmer than average for this time of year. that's why our temperatures are warm this morning. 58 in sunnyvale. everywhere else in san francisco it's around 61 to 62 degrees. in fact, we're in the low to mid 60s everywhere. look at bodega bay. palo alto is the warm spot at 66. you can see low clouds coming in from the marine layer. and what we're dealing with right now is some drizzle from that possible. morning sprinkles and even drizzle and then p.m. clearing from north to south.

cloudy, humid and we'll have drizzle again tonight and then a warming trend with above average temperatures especially inland thursday through the weekend. here are temperatures for today. mid 70s to near 80 for most of the south bay. mid 80s. flirting with mid 70s to near 80-degree temperatures on the peninsula with mid to upper 60s along the coast and near 70 in downtown south san francisco. mid 60s north bay coast with mid to upper 70s through your valleys. along the east bay shore, low to mid 70s until you get to castro valley upper 70s. 79 at san ramon. everybody else low to mid 80s inland east bay neighborhoods. check out cloud cover coming back tonight. this is mainly low clouds. high clouds out there but i don't expect sprinkles to be as dominant tomorrow even if in the picture at all but some drizzle is definitely possible. those temperatures once again in upper 50s to middle 60s. for today we're looking at clearing from north to south and then tomorrow we're looking at

along the benicia bridge. on the brakes there. quick live look outside at the golden gate bridge and you can see nice clear conditions there. we did have construction crews in the northbound direction but it looks like they wrapped things up. 4:56 now. a massive sinkhole is threatening to swallow up part of a neighborhood in florida. neighbors in the tampa suburbs say the ground opened up quickly saturday night. the sinkhole crumpled asphalt of the street above it police evacuated four homes. witnesses say the sinkhole doubled in size in just half an hour. it's now more than 100 feet across and 30 feet deep. the sinkhole is stable for the moment. one home is still evacuated but that family should be allowed back in after the hole is filled with cement. most of us use facebook to connect with friends and family. one kentucky woman connected with police in a way she now regrets. the woman on the right posted these selfies showing off her new leopard print dress. the thing is police say she
