stabbed and two who were beaten around 10:45 on darwin way. all five were taken to the hospital. investigators are not what started the fight or who started the fight. there are no suspects in custody. there. be a report next half hour. >> in san francisco, a former college professor is out on 100,000 bail this morning after police say he secretly spied on his students. the accounting prefer -- professor was at san francisco state. >> students find it hard to believe. it looks like a tissue box but, really, it is a hidden camera and the professor had one in the bathroom at his home and he would invite students to the house can video them using the restroom. a student discovered it and took the memory card home, saw what it contained and gave it to police. officers say there are at least

this is lake tahoe. anyone heading out of town? it looks nice. it will be beautiful. warm and mid-80's. perfectly nice. and normal. president obama is back at the white house with video showing the president exiting air force one returning home after three day west coast swing. this morning we are learning he met privately with former gang members while he was in southern california. the "los angeles times" reports he had the meeting yesterday because of a group that tries to get african-american and latino youth out of gang life. each young man got handshake and a picture with the president. a federal judge is making headlights with his call to bring backfiring squads to execute death row inmates. we he is the chief judge of the 9th circuit court of appeals in san francisco and he wrote that executions are "brutal, savage events, firing squads

could be more primitive but they are foolproof." this is after the botched execution of an inmate on wednesday. another judge declared the death penalty unconstitutional with executions on hold since 2006 after problems with lethal injection. the union representing fast food workers says they may turn to civil disobedient. this is video of previous peaceful protests but the organizeing director says higher profile democrat congratulations are coming and that could include civil disobedience. this comes as workers are ready to gather in chicago to discussion how to escalate the campaign. workers have called for $15 an hour wage and paid sick days. industry officials say the higher pay would hurt jobs. >> facebook owned instagram could have a snapchat competitor

coming out with a banner ad showing instagram users found promoting a photo messaging app but this is no app to download on apple app and google play so that is heeding some to speculate they may have released the ad before the new app was ready to lunch or is it a publicity ploy? snap chat turned down a $3 billion buyout from facebook last year. zuckerberg is now richer than the men who founded google. when the stock closed at record high yesterday, the 30-year-old made another $1.6 billion. zuckerberg's stake in facebook is worth $33 billion and ranked higher than larry paige on the billionaire index. the stock price has almost doubled to $75 a share. >> early stock price if not due

abc7 news begins with breaking news. welcome back. the news involves the san mateo bridge, you can see the west side is heavy. that is because there was a hit-and-run accident on the bridge that led to a seven for four suspects on the west side of the san mateo bridge. we are talking about a senator for suspects at bridgepointe shopping center. this is a target there and hotels in the area. this is the result of a hit-and-run accident. leyla gulen is in the traffic center. how the commute impacted? the moment it happened right

abc7 news begins with breaking news. we have breaking news from san francisco. firefighters are responding if san francisco over a deadly fire. amy hollyfield? yes, one person died at the fire. investigators say it appears that the person possibly was a hoarder with a lot of stuff inside the apartment unit. it is an older person would passed away in the fire. something was smoldering in the

person's part unit. there was a lot of smoke. they did keep it to this unit. let me show you where we are a 13-story high-rise building. this is next to san francisco state university that happened on the 2nd floor. firefighters were able to plug in to some outlets on the second floor with the smaller hoses and get water on it quickly. they have asked the first floor to -- rather, the 2nd floor to evacuate to clear the smoke. they say they kept it to one unit. there was only light smoke the hallway. they got the call after 5:00 this morning about the tire and they get it out okay and everyone else is okay. we do have one fatality with no delays on who that person was, whether it was a map or woman. they still working on their
