a rumble in the south bay. soccer fans are ready to celebrate levi's stadium's first game. but this stadium ready for its debut? thank you for joining us. i'm in for ama daetz. happening now in santa clara, tens of thousands of fans are gather forth their inaugural game at levi's stadium. cornell bernard is there live with how things are going. reporter: 45,000 soccer fans slowly starting to descend on levi's stadium right now.

i'm standing in front of the stadium. the road is being closed. excitement and curiosity definitely in the air. behind the scenes it was a last push to open the doors. leaf levi's stadium is finally ready for its closeup, almost. outside it's a mad rush to get finishing touches young. sam is grouting as fast as he can. >> we have to do the building since this morning. >> time is running out here. >> oh, yeah. >> welcome to levi's stadium, and to the first game. >> irene lopez is one of thousands of concession workers on the job for the first time. pj fuentes shows off the tickets he just bought with his dad for the inaugural earthquakes versus seattle sounders match. >> i'm. amped up. >> a great day for the community

and a quarter earthquakes, 45,000 people here, to christen levi's stadium. >> traffic was jammed up before noon, most trying to get to great america. if you driving to the game electronic signage directs you to parking. these two didn't have a ticket but drove up to the see stadium. >> the candlestick, great memories but this is definitely an upgrade from candlestick. >> just a bit. we have in fact lots of fans sharing their sentiment memories about candlestick park and very excited about this place. traffic is starting to tie up around highway 101. 30 electronic signs in the area will detour drivers to available parking. the game starts at 7:30, and the countdown is definitely on to the brand new home of the san francisco 49ers. we're live in santa clara, abc7

news. >> levi's stadium officials are urging fans to take public transportation to avoid parking problems. one of the primary tran cyst is its dta which is adding resources. the agency expects to carry 10,000 people to each niners event with a combination of light rail and bus service. they're also building a new track west of levi's stadium to store extra trains to be available for when the game ends. here's some are fact facts but the new stadium. cost 1.3 bill and took more than's just more than two years to build. the stadium is nearly 30,000 parking spaces and spans 28 lots. stadium seats approximately 68,500 fans. 49ers' upcoming season is sold out and fans resaling 10,000 tickets per game. >> people are willing to pay gig to get into the stadium. according to forbes.com the

average ticket price on the second dear market for the first game on august 17th is $172. the highest for any preseason game this year. during the regular season, niners tickets are exhibited to go for an average of $386. the second highest in the nfl behind the seattle seahawks. the average ticket price for today's earthquakes game is $123, nearly 262% above the average price of quakes tickets this year. excitement is building as gametime approaches. sergio quintana will be live in the thick of it all at 6:00. six wet some cold people are receiving treatment this jean after their boat capsized in san francisco bay. it was just after three when the boat turned over near the south tower of the golden gate bridge. two were picked up by a trailing boat and four by the coast guard. >> just went downed underwater, so we tried to bile, didn't

work. then we tried flipping it back over, see if we can get water out, but that didn't work, and there is no hope. >> the boat was part of the racing around the rock event on the bay. a building fire in san francisco's bayview district forced officials to call a shelter in place this afternoon. the fire broke out just before 2:30 near in the intersection of third street and paleu avenue in a building with a colorful front. took a half hour 0 knock down the flames. 25 people were evacuated from the building. no injuries reported. an investigation into how the fire started is underway. >> pg&e is trying to determine what two power lines fell today, knocking out service to thousands of customers in san francisco. people in the south of market neighborhood near rich and brannon streets reported hearing a loud explosion just before 8:30 this morning. more than 3,000 homes and businesses lost electricity. 84 people remain without power tonight. their services are expected to

be restored around 7:00 tonight. developing news in georgia. an historic and dangerous medical treatment is underway to try to save the life of an american doctor. the danger is the hospital personnel who be exposed to the disease, the incurable ebola virus. >> the first case of ebola hit united states soil for the first time on this runway in georgia. dr. kent brantly is an american physician who contracted the deadly virus while treating ebola patients in liberia. he arrived aboard a specially designed medical evacuation jet, inside a disposable tent to contain the ebola virus in flight. dr. brantly was whisked by ambulance to nearby emory university hospital where he emerged in head to toe protective gear and walked with assistance into a special entrance. >> supportive care. the tee thing in terms of improving survival. frequent vital signs, i.v.s if

from homeless to heir. via private jet. meet lady, an aging black lab who has had hard knocks. she was taken to a shelter when her original owner died. another family adopted her but she was returned. she was back at the shelter and now her luck has changed. helen rich is a florida heiress to the writing by gum company. she read about it and sent a jet to pick up the dog. >> it's a fantastic place where she's going. >> rich has an animal sanctuary in florida. her assistant made the trip from the sunshine shape to kansas earlier this week and returned with lady, the same day. i want to have a dog's lived and then a private jet as well. now it's time to check in

well. we'll see fog and clouds fill in from the coast, inland cooling continues into tomorrow, and then pretty little change in terms of the weather pattern next week. the forecast animation shows the clouds coming into the bay, even into some inland areas so 5:00, with the increased sea breeze, wake up to cloudy and overcast conditions and most temperatures in the 50s. 56 in san francisco, 57 in oakland, san jose, 60. we had this warm air mass and this continues to move away towards the north, so that is why we'll see the heat trend to be cooler, and the heat eases this weekend and as you notice we'll wake up to gray skies but before lunchtime most clouds will pull back, 60s along the coast, and 90s inland, not the 100 we saw on friday. so slightly cooler temperatures again except for the coast. morgan hill, 91. low 80s in the south bay.
