and tries to kick in a kitchen door. he picks up a shovel and attempts to pry open a door. having failed that, he throws a rock through the glass door. there are two cameras showing the man going through his belongings he got a watch case with watches. >> the man is seen walking away with the loot on one of the two cameras at the front of his home his car is parked out of frame. he gets in and drives away. you can see the car at the top of the video. take a look again at the burglar. these shots from a neighborhood blog and also on you tube posted by them last night. there will be no problem identifying him. people are going to know this guy. >> leafy says detectives seemed almost immediately to recognize

who he is. leafy was told the man may be a painter without standing warrants. >> police in mountain view say there could be more victims after arresting a man on child molestation charges he is accused of molesting two girls in the apartment complex where the girls live and where he worked as a handy man. >> cal fire is dealing with possibly the busiest fire season in a while, battling fires caused by lightning strikes in the north. that is five times the size of san francisco. and that includes 24 bay area

officer-involved shooting reached out to a prominent civil rights turn. a deputy shot and killed the suspect whose name has not been released early yesterday morning. police say the 20-year-old was wanted in a home invasion and pistol whipping. police say the suspect did not have a weapon on him but may have stashed one in the neighborhood oakland attorney john buress tells abc7 news he received a fall from the family of the man. >> some of the thousands of my grant children could be coming to santa clara county. officials plan to meet with other local leaders about ways to house some of the children. one idea is using foster homes, county executive jeff smith told our partner that the county still has to work out how to pay for the program and other details.

smith said he expects the board to take up the issue when they return from summer recess. >> and a temporary shelter were unaccompanied children on the naval base will close soon. about 7700 children have been housed at the shelters the flow of the children has slowed over the summer. officials say existing facilities are capable of housing the children. >> the u.s. coast guard suspended a search for a boat captain whose vessel ran aground this morning. the coast guard called off the search. looking for the man around noon today they say he called other boats saying his vessel, paloma was stuck on rocks he said he was thinking about
