reporter: this scene is just a couple of hours old. let's show you where this happened. on the second floor you can see uniformed police officers outside the room, number 289. this is what happened earlier today, about 10 minutes to 4:00, paramedics arrived along with the fire department. they had a call there were two bodies inside this room. a housekeeper went inside again at 10 minutes to four. once inside we're told that boy found two deceased persons in the room. a detective told me two bodies are actually located on a bed, close together. now, at this point there are no obvious signs of any violence or even that a crime has been committed. investigators are going in and out, collecting evidence, and in the meantime they're waiting for the coroner to arrive.

>> what do we have here? >> hotel staff gives us a call, found two deceased people inside the hotel room behind me. and at this point we're trying to investigate as to how they ended up that way. >> calling it a crime scene at this opinion? >> well, at this point, we're detakenning the scene as far as trying to determine if it is a crime scene or something else occurred here. reporter: police not saying a whole lot except to say there are two female deceased inside the room, two adult females. we also talked to neighbors here who tell uss they have seen two women coming and going from the room, although at point to they don't know exactly who they are. they also explained to us that this is more like an apartment building than it is a hotel or motel, that folks live here for a week at a time, a month, or in some case, some folks have been here for several years. police also tell us they do get a number of calls to come to this motel. we will be here -- we'll have

any developments for you later tonight. back to you. >> san jose is the largest homeless encampment is being cleared out and today protesters rallied against the effort. the encampment is just across the street from happy hallow park and zoo. here live. reporter: about 200 people live down here in what's known as the jungle. some homeless advocates say at the city's plans to clean up the area will hurt the people who called this place home. >> so -- >> robert packs up his tent located at the rim of the jungle, san jose's largest homeless encampment. >> this is a notice served to me on my tent, which gives -- it was served on friday, and we have to be out by 7:00 a.m. on monday, which is tomorrow. >> the notice also says trespassers will be subject to criminal prosecution.

>> i have everything here. i don't have a -- this is home for us. and as bad as it may look or whatnot, this is home. >> the city's homeless services manager said only ten people with be affect. the plan is to pick up garbage on the eastern bank of coyote creek. the flier does not specify the area and some people who tried to call the answer listed got no answer. homeless advocates rallied where are there plans to put up a fence to prevent dumping. there's concerned it will also fence them out and prevent them from dropping off food donations. >> the city is going to make it impossible because the city's strategy is to try to isolate the homeless. >> others, like sammy, want the city clean out the jungle once and for all. >> you come around here, in the evening, there's no lights.

you don't know what is in there. >> he calls it a safety and health hazard. the city will hold on to permanent property like tents for up to 90 days so people can pick them up. cleanup starts tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. >> some people in a south bay neighborhood are furious after employees at the lima family ericson memorial chapel in san jose saw graffiti when they got to work this morning. it's all over the top part of their building. someone pained over the spray paint by this afternoon. employees say it wasn't there when they left for the day yesterday. san jose police have not said if they plan to investigate. a marin county man has been arrested for threatening people with machete. deputies say it happen yesterday evening when ramo bowen walked into a deli. he waved this machete and yelled the word, dead, at a customer.

they told deputies, bowen asked the man for the time and became frustrated when he couldn't understand them. deputies said he ran out, waved the machete at a car and then ditched it before the police arrived. he was charged with deadly weapon possession of a between. >> the storms could fact part of the bay area. frances dinglasan has more with a look at live doppler 7hd. francis? >> we're tracking those storms right now, and numerous lightning strikes in the sierra nevada, especially the areas near south lake tahoe. showing you that over the last three hours, you can see the line of storms moving. there is a red flag warning in effect for the northern sierra that extends beyond the california oregon border. that's in effect until tuesday, 11:00. so you see the area in red. the area in peach, light orange, is the fire weather watch in effect until tuesday morning. that includes sacramento and

solano county for the bay area. this does mean a threat of lightning strikes for the bay area. >> right now there are four major wildfires burning in northern california. the day and bald fires are nearly con continued. the ila fire is half contained. it hasn't grown much in the last few days. the fire with the most momentum is the lodge complex fire. it started july 30th but took off a few days ago. now burned 8500 acres. 11 people injured, including throw firefighters from santa clara county. the fire was started bay lightning strike and is now fueled by dry brittle brush and grass. this year's outside lands music festival will dom an end in a few heres and the massive cleanup effort begins with no major problems. however, the festival had smaller issues, lillian kim is live with details. reporter: the three-day festival

is winding down and police say it's actually pretty calm today compared to the first two days. san francisco police arrested a man for climbing over a fence, but they say overall there have been fewer problems today in large part because fewer people attend the last day. despite the lower attendance, tens of thousands of people are here to watch a number of musical acts. the killers perform tonight, and gold panda, and limbo. organizers say 200,000 people will have attended outside lands by tonight's end. this is the festival's seventh anniversary and fourth sellout in a row. people we talked for excited about tonight but said i it marks the end of the event-filled weekend. >> a fun weekend. >> i love music, and tomorrow after work at 8:00 a.m., so, something to look forward to. >> all my favorites are playing today so there's still a lot to look forward to. >> who. >> nicky lee.

starting off with doppler we're seeing clouds, unusual. seeing clouds inland, not just right at the coast, and then i showed you earlier the thunderstorms up in the sierra with the live shot of south lake tahoe, you can see the rain falling right now. temperatures currently in san francisco, 66. oakland, 70. san carlos, 75. gilroy, 76. half moon bay, 64. now we have another beautiful shot for you from the exploratorium towards the bay bridge, blue skies. santa rosa, 72. napa, 70. concord, livermore, 74. temperatures have been running a little warmer compared to yesterday. in fact quite a bit warmer than 24 hours ago. sfo, 11 degrees warmer. we got more sunshine and that allowed things to warm up. i want to show you a closeup image of the clouds over the last few hours and notice this loop. we're starting to see some

clearing but the clouds are moving to the north. what this means is when those clouds move to the north, we have hopefully better viewing conditions for the super moon tonight. the moon rise at 8:01. best time is during the time it rises so 8:00 hour. it will be 14,300 miles closer to the earth so that means it will appear 14% bigger and 30% brighter. so, end us your pictures. here's the live shot, san jose cam. blue skies and high clouds. chance of spotty drizzle overnight. lightning possible tomorrow afternoon but more likely in the higher elevations and then a versutele and slow warming trend this week. here's what is going on with the water vapor image. you can see the circulation, so we have the moisture coming in and that brings the chance of

lightning. then it will move into parts of the bay area tomorrow afternoon. so, the forecast animation model shows the clouds just clearing perfectly by 8:00. so that why i think we'll get a good chance of seeing the super moon in many locations, and then tomorrow morning, you see the areas of green with the chance of spotty drizzle, and then we'll see some sunshine, but we'll keep a look out for the threat of lightning strikes. overnight lows, 50s. 57 in san jose. so, tomorrow should be a very pleasant day once again. 79 in santa clara. 81, san jose. look for numbers to be similar to today. 77 in redwood city. san francisco, 66. and then we have also got some upper 70s, petaluma, sonoma, near 70 at hayward, and in newark, and inland, warmer spots in the low to mid-eightings in. here's the accuweather seven-day forecast. chance of lightning for
