if we're going achieve justice we must first have and maintain peace. >> the governor declares a state of emergency in ferguson, missouri, where the shooting death of a young black man by a police officer has led to looting and riots. we begin with developing news from ferguson where neighbors came together to clean up following a night of looting. there's now a curfew in place saying -- by the governor.

here's the latest from ferguson. [inaudible] >> frustration unleashed. as governor jay nixon took a major step towards trike to east the unrest in ferguson, missouri. >> protect the people and property of ferguson today, signed an order declaring a state of emergency in order to implement a curfew. >> the curfew put in place after last night's clashes between demonstrators and police, who were throwing rocks and bottles, and officers in riot gear launch launched smoke bombs and retreated. the outrage came after police released the name of the officer who killed brown at the same time they shared these surveillance ims, claim that i go showed brown in an alleged strong-arm robbery at a convenience store just 15 minutes before he was killed.
