reporter: well, the 49ers lost, but the fans say that the stadium is a winner. they raved, saying it was so much better than candlestick. loved their food, their seats, but found a couple of problems they want to address. >> the 49ers rock but the 49ers didn't win. >> fans disappointed with the team's performance left the game early, some hoping to avoid traffic, others ready to escape the heat. >> it was really had. >> medics responded to section 221. >> heat exhaustion. >> another complaint? this couple found handicapped parking problematic. >> the stadium is made for handicapped accessible. the parking situation is not. >> while we heard fans had issues with wi-fi, others say levi's stadium delivered on its promise of fast internet service. >> i've had it work fine. >> as for the pregame talegate scene, fans loved the new lots.

stadium. hi, larry. >> they love the digs. the locker room is enormous. the problem with the game, this was a rather unauspicious debut for the brand new levi's psinetum. edyoke, you spent a billion dollars on the plant ask the last thing you want is to come out on the short end of a loss. i talked with several veteran players after the game, and after the score they felt bummed for the fans, they didn't give them more to cheer about in this very first nfl game at levi's stadium. >> an honor to be in this building. when i first got her it was all candlestick, and as we all know, candlestick is a little old, but i'm excited. the guys are excited. and it's just good things ahead. good things to look forward to. >> the stadium is nice. we look forward to playing on it more and more. he obviously need so improve on some had gones but we have a

couple weeks to do that. >> the 49ers have yet to score a touchdown in two preseason games. they hope to break the seal next sunday right here, 1:00, when they kick off against the san diego chargers. the workers are busy resodding and trying to get this field ready for one week from today. lots more coming up in sports. for now, live levi's stadium, abc7 sports. >> one big question before today, would traffic be a problem? sky 7hd shows cars lined occupy their way to levi's stadium an hour before kickoff. cornell bernard is live with a look at what traffic was like getting to and from the game today. reporter: for a lot of fans it was not pretty at all they say get hearing by car was frustrating. those who took light rail say that was the tie go. -- was the way to go. >> two hours before gametime

getting to levi's stadium was a breeze. the chp had extra officers on duty to keep traffic rolling. >> the chp guys are awesome. giving good directions. so far so good. but it's early yet. >> sky 7hd flew over parking lots which were filling up fast. a total of 21 lots. many fans didn't realize some of them were actually blocks away from the stadium, a long walk. >> did you know you were parking so far away? >> it's complicated to get in. only one lane to get into the parking lot. it's ridiculous. >> then came the gridlock. by noontime, some of the worst traffic was off the lawrence expressway, highway 237 and 110, where normally short trips were anything but. >> the last time from san jose, one hour, 47 minutes. >> ignore lawrence. >> don't go lawrence. >> two hours on the bus.

>> greg came from san mateo. >> get this together before the season starts, please. it's a joke right now. can we go back to candlestick? >> bvta trains arrived packed with niner fans. many say the ride here was problem, free. >> piece of cake. here the 35 minutes. it was a full train, people were standing most of the time, but a great ride. >> they added extra trains and express buses after not providing enough for a soccer event which caused delays. >> hopefully going home will be just as easy. that's yet to be determined. >> after the game there was a long line of riders but there were extra trains standing by to get everyone home. >> so we have traffic cams around the stadium linked to our web site, abc7.com. right now on the city of santa

clara's traffic cam, fans didn't have too much trouble leaving the game. of course traffic may have been affected by when they left. sergio has that part of the story. reporter: this was a sold-out game but you can see now just a couple of hours after it's all over, there's not a whole lot of traffic. the only indication there was traffic in this area is that nicely stacked pile of traffic cones the chp was using earlier. the reason why everybody is gone is because people started leaving around halftime. this is what the mass exodus looked like around halftime, and state constant until the end of play. prompted by the big exit by fans, california highway patrol officers sed up diversion cones early and extra transit buses were lined up. the 49er faithful said they love the new stadium but the traffic getting here was enough to encourage lots of people to

leave earlier in order to avoid the crowds a second time, and quite a few people left early because of the lopsided loss by the 49ers. >> you're leaving -- it's only halftime. >> it's secondary now. it's not the first string people. we're done. >> man, it was hot. we go to go down to the lower level and watch the game. the baby was out of it. >> there was at least one traffic collision, two bicyclists who were leaving the game were clipped by the driver of a massive pickup truck, who was also leaving the game. the riders were not injured. and the police gave the driver of that pickup truck a field sobriety test. i talked with the officers who were giving the test, and they say that the driver of the pickup did have some alcohol in his system but not the level they needed to take him into custody. as for traffic right now? it's flowing pretty easily. reporting live, abc7 news.

>> the family of a two-year-old girl killed in a hit-and-run held a vigil today. mi-yana gregory was with her mother and brother when she was hit at 10:30 friday night. the three were leaving the movie theater. the family is pleading with the driver of the car to surrender. >> this is about getting justice for mi-yana. she has family. she has a twin brother.

somebody somewhere saw something. all we're asking for is justice. mi-yana was our future it and it was cut short. >> san francisco police released this picture of the car. it's a white four-door toyota or lexus sedan. so for this is the only lead investigators have. >> protesters staged out 14 bay area whole food markets today in an effort to save the bunnies. they'll be selling rabbit meat at certain locations in northern california. the store says more americans are eating rabbit as a more sustainable, leaner protein option. those critics say eating a companion animal is wrong. >> whole feeds is trying to create a market for rabbit meat, and we think that's wrong and we don't need yet another tropical option in whole foods. >> house rabbit society organized the protests. it plans to do so until whole foods reverses its decision to sell rabbit meat.

happy ending to a story we first brought you earlier this summer. a bobcat found sick and injured back in june was released back to its home at the winery in los gatos. wildfire emergency services sent this video of vets nursing the animal back to health. the bobcat didn't know it helped forge a new partnership. the winery host ed -- hosted a fundraiser for emergency services before they released the animal.

in two preseason losses, both blowouts. but i caution everybody. i talked with vernon davis after the game, and he said this is preseason, emphasis on pre. these games to not count so he encouraged the fans to relax and breathe. >> we're not worried about this. this is preseason. preseason is an opportunity to get better. right? you get better. you plan, preparation, and you get all the kinks out and you just get better as a time. you cultivate the relationship with other guys and just come together. so this is a time for us to bond and get better. nothing to worry about. everything relax. put your seatbelt on, sit back, breathe. not going to let how you show up as a team but we -- we knew what we need to do once the season starts. we fine. we'll be fine.
