>> about tear gas and stun grenade. another night of clashes between police and protestors in ferguson, missouri. officers forming a wall to clear the street. good evening. things are finally calming down there late tonight. hour ago police cleared the streets in ferguso ferguson. that means no residents media or amnesty international. human rights group sent delegation to observe a community crisis for the first time ever in the united states. clashes began about 2 hours ago after police warned protestors not to throw bolts. tear gas and stun grenade followed. police made several arrests. all of this of course stemming from the shooting death of an unarmed teenager. abc news reporter is in ferguson. >>reporter: tonight the missouri national guard trying to keep order on the streets of fearing sochbility under the command of the state highway patrol which so far failed to ease tensions here. >> what happens is the peaceful

and just block apart. person struck by car tonight at center and old ennis hurt badly. one hit last tonight at center and balance 4 is dead. lillian is there live tonight with the story. lillian? >>reporter: dan, this stretch of center road still closed to traffic. hard to believe that this is the second hit-and-run here in less than 24 hours. people who live and work along center road stood in shock as they saw a man lying in the middle of the street. witness say a light colored sedan going north when it hit the man jay walking. san jose police say the injuries are life threatening. >> i heard the noise. and i hear boom. so i saw the guy laying there and the car was stopped right there. after that he take off. >>reporter: police had been at the stretch of center road the night before. where they say a dark colored sedan sped away from the scene. 51-year-old man died at the hospital after witness found him lying in the middle of the intersection with his mangled bicycle not too far away. relatives are hoping the

driver is found soon. >> they didn't stop or call or anything they just left. i hope either they turn themselves in or the the police will find them. >>reporter: stretch of center road has crosswalk with pedestrians island. lights and yield sign. motorist say it's not enough. they say many people cross where they are not supposed to and even in places where pedestrians are crossing legally it's tough to spot them. >> because of the shopping complex here a lot of people walk through from the community and just can't, drivers can't see the pedestrians. >>reporter: police are counting on the public help to solve the cases. investigators say both cars likely have front end damage. in san jose, abc 7 news. >> 4 people face charges tonight in connection with the petaluma slaughter house scandal. they include the general manager and mr. plant foreman. according to federal indictment unsealed today rancho feeding corporation slaughtered more than 100 sick cows. indictment claims quote
