of the fire. you can see the burned out apartment. only studs in some places. look at the flames, the fire broke out before 11 o'clock last night on international boulevard near 23rd avenue. it started outside behind one of two, two story buildings that burned. the buildings are mixed use. business on the bottom. apartments on the second floor. a woman did not know what she was hearing but it sounded bad. >> i thought it was explosion. the apartment goes to the back. this was an explosion. it sounded like a car crash. he jumped. >> the chief says witnesses told them they heard what sounded like fireworks but it is not determined if it had anything to do with the fire. 34 have been forced from their homes.
