live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. crews are rushing to finish laying down new turf at the 49ers new stadium in santa clara. another potential safety issue has come up at the new facility. good morning, i am eric thomas. in addition to the turf issue, the team is trying to intercept another possible problem. some are voicing concerns about the railing ahead of the 49ers' second game at their new home on sunday. katie marzullo is at the stadium. >> it is a one-two punch between turf issue and the personal

injury attorney at the game saying the railings at the sky box level are dangerously low. the team this morning assuring the fans the stadium will be ready to go if time for the sunday game. >> a shipment of new sod arrived at levi stadium. then, deja vu, crews were rolling out the new tub and the 49ers ripped out the old but new super grass this week because of player safety. players are tripping and sling over div. ts. heavy quip will ensure the new turf is pressed tightly into the crown and seamless and he says the roots are twice as thick as normal sod. also this morning, a one man crusade for safety. personal injury today says the grateful railings at the sky box level are too low at 30" someone to call. >> i am sure the 49ers do not want their fans getting hurt and

warrant in an area near novato. >> no one was there. people in homes had the opposite of sheltering if place are on evacuating. authorities have not released details of the warrant or why it is considered "high risk." today, the attorney for the family of a young man killed in a san francisco police shooting says he will file a federal civil rights lawsuit claiming officers used excessive force. supporters gathered for a sunrise service in honor of 28-year-old alejandro nieto shot by police in bernal heights park in march. officers were investigating reports of a man with a gun when they encountered him. they fired when he drew a weapon which was a taser. >> the unbelievable tragedy. the things that happened, the officers did what they felt they had to did. >> officers need better training

and think before they shoot. >> attorney john burris will file the lawsuit after a rally and march today. >> sonoma county supervisor is calling out the sheriff for putting his addition to put the deputy who killed andy lopez on duty. in an op-ed piece she criticized the sheriff for putting erick gelhaus on the street calling it a slack to the community and said she was blind sited by the division for not involvinged supervisors in the move. >> racial tension is calming for a second separate day in ferguson, missouri, although seven were arrested. the protests were relatively quiet. police credit community leaders for trying to help decrease the unrest. yesterday, the governor announced a systematic withdrawal of national guard soldiers and now it has been 13 days since the shooting death of an unarmed black teen, michael brown, by a white police

officer. brown's funeral is held on monday. now, the latest on the execution of american journalist james foley. his brother and sister are speaking saying the u.s. government could have done more to try to free their brother from isis. here is the latest on that story. >> the massive international manhunt to find james foley killers continues. this man is one three british citizens at the hostages nicknamed the beatles, jailers and torchers for the militant group. >> in an interview on why who news, the sin lanes said the cons is done more to save their brother. >> i really, really, really, really hope that in some way jim's death pushes us to take a look at our approach, our policy

berkeley police need the public's help to find a missing woman suffering if dementia, the 73-year-old disappeared last night at 11 o'clock last seen when walking and is anyone to cover a lot of group. she speaks spanish and little english at 5' 4" last seen wearing blue pants and green jacket. >> miss have beefed up patrol after a sideshow accident in a high school. this is video of another one. drives perform dangerous stuntses with their cars. on august 6, police say an 18-year-old driver was doing doughnuts at los gatos high school and he lost control of the 2014 mustang and claimed his brakes failed and he hit a railing but a witness posted on the site said that a kid doing doughnuts hit a kid and smashed the car to the rail. the youngster who was hit suffered cuts and bruises.

>> legal help could be here for illegal immigrant children who come here from central america. the governor and the legislature, the democrats, are setting aside $3 million to pay for lawyers for the youngsters. they are more likely to be deported without representation. there are estimated to be 4,000 undocumented children in the united states without an adult. >> today, kids in san francisco are learning about more than just basketball and role -- volley ball skills. knick is in san francisco to explain. we off to a beautiful start this morning and a wonderful afternoon so live doppler 7 hd shows we are calm, the clouds are receding and we are not seeing sunshine yet, it is coming. from emeryville camera we will show you blue sky but the clouds are still howing along the idea coast and not just san francisco is under sunshine. san francisco is 65 degrees and oakland at 71 and san jose at 74 and gilroy warm at 75. half moon bay is at 64. sfo right now has no delays. the visibility is perfect. it is gorgeous blue. santa rosa is 66. napa is 65. 68 in novato. fairfield at 71. 74 in concord. livermore is at 78. you can see the bay bridge and the trees are swaying because we have an active brain at 10- to 15-miles per hour off the

pacific. there is late patchy fog areas that will burn off in the next hour it will be mild to warm this weekend. we have a breeze off the pacific. it is keeping the clouds along the coast and the prez -- breeze will keep us cooler. in the pacific we have not one, not two, but three maimed storms in the ocean. they are not a threat to the mainland but they are churning up the ocean. over the weekend if you are at the beach we have a stronger than normal rip current so the waves will come from all directions. the southeast will be rough. highs today are 80 in san jose, 83 in los gatos, the peninsula is 78 and 63 for pacifica and san francisco topping out at 67 and 68 for south san francisco. the summer spread in the north bay, 63 at bodega bay andup for
