$25,000 bail. this is the latest incident for the team that now leads the league in player arrests. sergio quintana is live in mcdonald's knobbed with more on what -- neighborhood with more on what led up to the arrest. reporter: this afternoon we went over to ray's home to see if he was available for comment, and we were greeted by two men who said he is not. a neighbor has told us there was a pretty loud party going on here last night. san jose police were called here for a domestic violence call around 2:30, and that is around when mcdonald was arrested. according to san jose employs, 49ers defensive end ray mcdonald was booked into the santa clara county jail on felony domestic violence charges. he posted $25,000 bond and was released. he was having a birthday party at his home when he and his pregnant fiancee got into a fight. when police arrived she showed

officers bruises on her neck and arms. that's when officers placed mcdonald under arrest without incident. his is he first case skins nfl commissioner roger goodell announced tougher penalties to deal with domestic violence on thursday, according to a letter sent to team owners, firs offense is an automatic six game suspension. a second offend would be dismissal from the league. in the letter he wrote, more severe penalties for first offense would be considered for violence involving a weapon, choking, repeated striking, or when the act is committed against a pregnant worm or in the presence of a child. 49ers fans are already reacting. >> it's tough as a fan because you want to think everybody is perfect and everything is happy, you want to represent an organization that is a classy and has great attitude and just everything about you, you want to see in your team. >> a little bummed. we have alden smith suspended,

3:00. there is no at timetable when they will re-open the offramp and expect to keep at least one lane of the boulevard closed for 24 hours. a sonoma county rescue crew needed a helicopter to save man trapped in a rugged part of the county. this afternoon, searches got a call of a man who was trapped in thick brush a few hundred yards from pine flat road. two rescuers dangled on the end of a 100-foot line while the pilot lowered them to the 29-year-old man. the helicopter pulled the three up to the road and the man was treated and released. labor day weekend is often known for signaling the end of summer. sure doesn't feel like it right now. let's check in with meteorologist drew tuma. >> it's very warm out there this afternoon, early evening, temperatures made into it the 70s in san francisco. 90s in many of the inland spots. abc7 live doppler 7hd will show you with the bright blue skies.
