good morning, everyone. it's thursday, i'm tahman bradley. >> i'm reena ninan. >> we begin with the aftermath of the execution of steven sotloff by the isis islamic group. >> a candlelight vigil was held for him last night. his death is also on the minds of many in the obama administration. >> gloria riviera with the latest. >> reporter: president obama is in the uk meeting with so many key allies. a lot on his plate, ukraine, russia, but, of course, isis and with the u.s. policy and what it will be. pressure is building for president obama meeting with nato allies to clearly define u.s. strategy after he said the terror group isis will pay the price for the murder of american journalist steven sotloff and james foley. >> we'll either fight them now or fight them later because they're not going to stop. it's disciplined.

experts say english speakers are key to spreading the isis message increasing their power and recruiting others. reena, tahman, back to you. >> gloria riviera live in washington. >> the terror threat from iceland is sure to be discussed at the nato summit this week even though ukraine is the main item on the agenda. >> president obama will be meeting with several heads of state today in newport, wales. abc's devin dwyer is traveling with the president. good morning, devin. >> reporter: good morning, reena and tahman. president obama arrived here overnight making front page news this morning. he's the first american president ever to visit wales. the nato summit already under way. the agenda here is ambitious this morning. ukraine's president is here as a special guest. he wants help from the u.s. and nato and more money to confront that invasion. president poroshenko will meet with president obama, german, italian and french leaders and the other big issue what to do with the isis militants in sr.

and iraq and the papers this morning, british prime minister cameron, president obama penning a joint op-ed and they have different views about what to do about it. today meetings between the two, prime minister and president obama, will be closely watched to see if perhaps a more aggressive strategy emerges and military strategy perhaps. this evening, though, president obama and the other leaders, 67 of them from around the world will rub elbows with prince charles's sprawling countryside resort here but overall reena and tahman, this is being dubbed as perhaps the most consequential nato summit ever. >> okay, devin, thank you. a science experiment turned dangerous at a museum in reno terrifying a room filled with children. seven kids were among nine rushed to the hospital following a routine demonstration at the discovery museum. the staff was using a machine to simulate a tornado when it malfunctioned and a chemical flash occurred causing multiple acid burns.

perdue says it stopped using human antibiotics in all their chickens virtually. however, perdue will still use animal antibiotics which critics say are just as dangerous. u.s. auto sales boomed. overall sales up 5.5% since a year ago. the big winner was chrysler up 20% thanks to crossovers and suvs. ford sales were basically flat and general motors was off 1%. dragged down by cadillac. fast food workers across america are planning to walk off their jobs today demanding a $15 an hour wage. the last time they did this was back in may. organizers expect strikes in more than 100 cities. they also say workers will use nonviolent civil disobedience to make their point and a $15 an hour wage would wipe up profits, some say. a popular show is learning there's a downside to winning so many emmys. piracy of "breaking bad" surged after the emmy awards were announced and more than

well, it gives new meaning to being under the golden arches two injured when a giant mcdonald's sign crashed on top of cars in the restaurant's drive-through. that was in weatherford, oklahoma, crashing those cars like bugs practically. the two people trapped in the wreckage suffered only minor injuries. now for a look at your morning road conditions. an 1800-mile-long band of severe weather will create wet conditions to the upper midwest and great lakes and wet conditions stretch from south texas to the southeast and up into washington, d.c. if you're flying, delays are possible in minneapolis, and atlanta. well, breaking news this morning in the search for a missing 8-year-old girl in arizona. >> a body has been found near the home of the girl but it has not been identified. isabella grogan-cannella vanished from her bullhead city home before dawn tuesday and her parents say she was not in her bedroom when they went to check on her.

no struggles of a break-in but they haven't ruled out a kidnapping. the unidentified body has been turned over to the medical examiner's office. the judge was emotional at the sentencing of a man who killed a 19-year-old woman who banged on his door in the middle of the night. theodore wafer will spend at least the sex 17 years behind bars. he was convicted for the shooting of renisha mcbride when she showed up on his porch acting strangely after a car accident. at the hearing wafer apologized to her family. >> i can only hope and pray that -- that somehow you can forgive me. >> the jury rejected his claim of self-defense. to massachusetts where two kayakers got the fright of their lives when what appears to be a great white shark took a bite out of their boat. they were taking pictures off the coast of plymouth.

one minute they were talking to each other, the next they were knocked into the water swimming with a shark. >> i looked back at her and it came directly out of the water underneath the boat, launching her backwards and flipped me over. >> fortunately neither were injured. the shark swam away but the bite mark on the kayak belongs to a great white shark, they say. known to hunt seals in those waters this time of year. now, some news about snakes starting with a dangerous cobra on the loose in a los angeles neighborhood. an albino cobra considered dangerous. what's not clear is where it came from. on monday it attacked a dog sending it to an animal hospital in critical condition. cobras are generally illegal on their own in california if you own them. and that snake, that one right there was found in the drive-through lane of a burger king in illinois. no one knows how the more than six-foot-longbow what constrictor got there. animal control officers captured
