live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> the search continues for a mountain lion that mauled a six-year old boy on a popular trail warning the president the big cat could attack again. thank you for joining us. >> the little boy remains at valley medical center in santa clara. nick is at the preserve. there is an update on the boy's condition? >> absolutely. his condition is up graded to "good." this is important to know because yesterday the little boy was attacked and on day two of

the search for the cat. >> this animal shows every indication it was attacking this boy as prey. >> that behavior says the lieutenant from the department of filibuster fish is rare and extremely dangerous so they are helping the mountain lion down to kill it. >> to be clear you do not take the decision to put this animal down sightly? >> my goodness, no, we would never want or try to do this until it is a severe circumstance of a man exhibiting extremely aggressive behavior. the boy would have been killed if his dad did not intervene. >> you are convinced what will happen? >> the animal will continue the aggressive behavior. >> trails are closed after attack was reported and a tracking team was deploy. two game ward weres and an agent with wildlife services. >> they have 50 team of dogs and what they are doing is looking if any sign of fresh track of the mountain lion in the area.

>> teams will continue until night and then they will reassess the situation. >> of particular important to the group looking for that mountain lion is the opportunity to not only final and destroy the animal but to act quickly. until they find that animal they will keep the trail closed and of course this is the perfect time for families to enjoy the park. >> two people were hospitalized this morning after an accident involving a bicyclist, a taxi van and a muni bus in san francisco in the richmond district after 8:00 this morning. muni says the taxi van hit the bicyclist and ran into the muni bus and the bicyclist and bus driver were taken to the hospital neither with life threatening injuries. >> another muni state department is under investigation when height rail service resumed after a train hit a man around 5:00 a.m. at 3rd street.

the map may is been using a walker when he was hit. paramedics returned him to the hospital with injuries to his head and face and the accident caused delays for hours prompting muni to set up a bus bridge while police investigate. >> a stunning development for parents sending their kids to a novato preschool. it shut down for business suddenly. and now, outside the academy with the story. amy? >> there are 50 kids enrolled here and frantic parents are trying to figure what to do but the school is licensed for flee times that many kids so the money wasn't coming in. >> the beginning of the school year is full of promise and hope and the preschool means you have written a check for tuition. parents in novato may not see that money and they will not get what they paid for. >> they state it is closed forever and i was in shock. i had no idea this was coming.
