struck a person in san leandro. a southbound train was heading to fremont when it hit the vic vic -- victim. >> the person bounced back on to the platform after being hit and is in, quote, better condition than you would expect. the station was closed for an hour and a half and is now open again. trains could experience small delays throughout the night. >> i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama dates. we are following developing news out of hayward where search crews have been looking for a 16-year-old missing since saturday. there is a major new lead in the search. alan wang is live in hayward. >> dan, they ended the search out here around 9:00 tonight. investigators are working two possibilities here. min leigh could be injured or missing in the canyons or near st. anthony's church where they traced internet activity

to a nearby church over there. the family is hoping for the latter. while search and rescue dogs combed the canyons around the east avenue park investigators monitored the facebook page of the missing teen min leigh. tonight there was a glimmer of hope. >> we have similar activity on monday that was a false alarm. this may not be a false alarm so we are concentrating our efforts in san francisco. >> police say somebody opened and read a message on min's facebook page. >> hopefully that is him. nobody can know it is possible. >> the student at murrow catholic high school argued with his father and then left on foot wearing a bright teal colored shirt and khakis and slippers. >> it is getting cold.

legitimate medical purpose. he was in court today and free on $75,000 bail. according to his linkedin profile he worked a as a supervisor at detox docs, a rehab center in san rafael. four years ago a san bruno neighborhood was in flames and in ruins. that blast and the fire that raged afterward killed eight people and injured another 66 and destroyed 38 homes. tonight the community came together for a special remembrance. abc7 news reporter lisa amin gulezian is live at the epicenter of the natural gas explosion. >> someone's house once stood in them tee lot. in them tee lot. 14 homeowners refused to return. >> it looked like a guiser of flames. didn't know it was my own neighborhood. >> tonight the people of sanbruo bruno remembered a day no one can forget. september 9th, 2010 when a pg&e pipeline exploded in this

neighborhood. in four years times homes have been rebuilt and many returned. but eight never will. ise survivors admit is an everyday feeling now. the anger is toward pg&e that was recently fined $1.4 billion for the explosion. >> never once have they said an apology to us. never once have they looked at us and said i'm sorry. >> at tonight's city council meeting, what today's date signifies couldn't be ignored. >> four years ago we had a corporate tragedy. >> this was followed by a moment of silence in honor of those that died that day. >> this was not an accident. this could have been prevented. >> still there are those who think of september 9th as a day to be thankful. >> i feel very fortunate that it didn't turn out to be even orse. if the winds were different it could have been the whole neighborhood. >> rebuilding efforts will continue for one more year.

in san bruno, lisa amin gulezian, abc7 news. >> stanford police are investigating a pepper spray attack on campus. officers say the victim was working in a parking lot near the james h clark research center when the attack happened on friday. the suspect was wearing a black hoodie and a bandanna covering his face. santa clara police need your help finding this man who broke into a computer store on september 3rd. this is surveillance video from goal tech computers on laurel wood road. the video shows the man as you can see rumaging through boxes before ultimately hitting the camera. police say he got away with several laptops. >> today the owner of the baltimore ravens apologized for the handling of the ray rice incidents. yesterday tmz released video showing rice knocking out his then fiancee in an elevator back in february. the nfl had suspended him for two games, but rice was suspended indefinitely and the ravens cut rice yesterday.

different and everybody has a right to due pros sheas and that is what we have stood by. >> he has yet to be charged and suspended by the team. no convicted abusers will be accepted in their organization. macdonald is expected in court next monday. there was another mournen it it -- mountain lion sighting. the mother and three cubs were spotted in woodside. it happened just before 8:00 a.m. the mother did not attack anyone . in fact, it is rare when they do. >> that's why trackers are working hard to find the mountain lion that attacked a boy in cupertino. they have added seven tracking dogs trying to pick up its scent. it will be tested for rabies. it stalked the boy's family as they carried him away following the mauling. the boy was treated and is now home from the hospital.

campfire, has charred 162 square miles and two structures. >> it erupted a month ago and it is aggressively growing. sandhya patel has details on how it is affecting our air. sandhya? >> the smoke from the fire is hundreds of miles away and it will be transported to our area. the concern is particularly the east bay. look at a nasa imagery. there are the fires in northern california and particularly the happy campfire. the smoke because of the wind flow is expected to push the wind -- the wind is expected to push the smoke down toward our area which is why there is a smoke advisory for wednesday and thursday for the entire bay area. particular concern once again is the east bay as that smoke travels from sacramento to our region. be aware of the fact that if you are particularly sensitive and smell smoke or see smoke you will want to stay inside and limit your outdoor activity.

if you have health concerns follow your doctor's orders. take a look at the smoke layer from our east bay hills camera. we are seeing a small sign of it, and it was really clear as we look at the time lapse. as we look at our live doppler 7hd tonight signs of change, it was a warmer day today and the fog is pretty much right near the coastline. it is not going far inland like the previous nights because it is so shallow. the last couple nights it was about 2,000 feet and we had a pretty good sea breeze that pushed it along. tonight it is pretty down on the deck as you look from the sutro to you customer -- tower camera. san francisco, oakland, san jose 61. half moon bay,57. and here is the view from the east bay hills camera. very little in the way of fog showing up for your morning commute. mid50sin santa rosa and novato and currently 66 in livermore. a mild night. from our exploratorium camera, this is the fog you will have to contend with first thing in the morning.
