. live from the kgo broadcast center, this is abc 7 news. >> we begin with breaking news, an east bay teenager missing for four days has been alive and safe. he was found safe about an hour ago, 16-year-old minh ly was found at the larkin streets services. he showed up at 10:00 this morning and is said to be in good health. >> family has searched for him in san francisco after someone reported seeing him walking

around market street and saying he could be staying at a youth hostile. somebody recognized his photo and gave them a call. he left his home saturday after arguing with his father. search crews have been looking for the iteen in the hills near his home. but he has been found and detectives are bringing him home now. and they are relieved. >> the math is easy, more riders, fewer cars and a aging fleet. b.a.r.t. passengers want to know when they are going to get relief. >> a bad combination, and it will be this way for a while. riders will have to sharpen their elbows to get on the

train. b.a.r.t. trains are crowded in the fall but riders are having to fight for space more than ever. >> you cannot stand, sometimes i have to wait for the next train. >> there's two reasons that you are struggling to find a seat these days, first, look at the numbers. there were a few days where 430,000 people climbed on board, the year ago that number was 391,000, and then there's this problem. >> the trains are shorter, less ten-car trains. that tends to make it more crowded. >> there are fewer cars and b.a.r.t. said it for your own good, they are pulling out 19 cars a day to rehabilitate them. >> we are giving you the new wipable seats and new air conditioning units which is great for the riders. >> add in the 100 cars that are

out each day for repairs and you have a problem. >> i am a big guy, so it's harder for me and i carry a lot of stuff going to school and stuff, and i have a big backpack. it's tight in there. >> the biggest thing you can do is take off the backpack and and put it on the floor, it takes up a lot of space. you are whacking people in the face when you keep it on. >> and use the middle of the train. people do not move to the middle of the the train and it could help in this situation. >> the rehab project will not be done until this year. we have to get through the period and hopefully we will have more trains out and available. >> new trains are on the way, so relief is coming but not for a while. they are not scheduled to start arriving until 2017. abc 7 news. >> all right. the city of san francisco is starting controversy as they are trying to do clean up a homeless

camp. matt keller is in san jose temperature goal is to get housing and services for the homeless, matt? >> yes, this is the beginning of the work for the city of san jose, more gates will be installed around the jungle with the goal of getting everyone moved out. volunteers with the most holy trinitiy church had to hop curb to get in the parking lot just outside the homeless encampment today. they bring food every week. but we were told that access would be limited. >> we do this every wednesday. so we have to know when the -- if you are not going to allow us anymore, you know? >> you don't know if they will let you come in or give you a key to the gate. >> i have no idea. >> these pictures show crews dropping boulder and yesterday they were lined up and a gate installed. churches and organizations and nonprofits will be allowed

access if they are working with the city. >> educate people where they can get resources and housing and where they can find places to where they can get jobs. you know, we have a job training program that they can come in anden list in and get them off the feet and off the street. >> the pollution problem is being pressured to be resolved that is in coyote creek, they are trying to get all the people living in a stable living condition by the end of the year, which will a allow the city to get if and clean up the pollution problem. they have 60 more people with housing vouchers, but the problem is finding the places to use the vouchers. >> i think there's enough vouchers, but not enough housing. i could write you a piece of paper that said it's worth $1 million, but if you cannot use it, what is it worth?

>> all right, matt, thank you. and new this morning. the napa can county sheriff's office is reporting the first earthquake related death. a tv inside this woman's home hit her in the head during the earthquake. thompson did not go to the hospital right away. the family urged her to get medical help, the next day after she felt dizzy. >> the napa quake gave the new eastern span of the bay bridge its first test to see how it would holdup during a large earthquake. nick is here tell us the results. >> it was given an a, telling me the bridge not only met, but exceeded their own expectations. the napa quake raised concerns over bridge safety, specifically the failed tests, not only was

well the new iphone 6 is not on sale yet, but wireless providers are already offering deals. verizon wireless said it will give a free phone, if they trade in an eligible older working model and sign a two-year contract. and sprint will allow as many up to 3 older phones to be traded in. t-mobile said it would beat any rival's trade in offer and throw in an extra $50. and the apple watch is the first
