hasn't beep heard from since hurricane odile hit. lisa and her fiancee, david, were vacationing in cabo. their daughter texted on sunday morning to say it was raining very hard, but then texts and calls stopped. >> i am getting to the end my rope. my daughter has a potential life threating threating threating condition where if she eats the wrong food she can go into anti-phylactic shock. >> the couple is searching the wing for news about stranded tourists and when flights may be departing again. >> have you been through a hurricane before? >> no. >> now you have, i guess m.. >> this bride to be just made it out escaping what can only be called a bachelorette party from hell. 14 girlfriends in paradise for the weekend. >> the power was out. the water was out. >> the group took refuge in this hotel near the airport which got battered by the storm. >> we were all hunk erred down

beam. just keep that in mind. the showers have been light so far up in the north bay. .08 of an inch and hawk eye in sonoma county, santa rosa has reported a hundredth of an inch. just looking at some of the rain gauges olima valley .06 and near crescent city there were thunderstorms and some pretty heavy rain in the northern california coastline there. anywhere from half to three-quarters of an inch. crescent city measured .20 an inch. we are just getting started with this success stem as i pull out here. the system is continuing to spin off the coastline here in the pacific. we still have a very wet commute ahead of us. that's when we are expecting most the showers. back with the de teals on that and a risk of thunderstorms. >> thank you, sandhya. the fire in el dorado county has exploded in size. it has grown to 28,000 acres and threatening more thap 2,000 -- 2,000 homes.

earlier this evening governor jerry brown declared a state of emergency for el dorado county and where another wildfire burns. that fire devastated the town of weed where firefighters sifted through more rubble. officials estimate 110 homes were destroyed and another 90 damaged when part of the town was off run by fire on monday. the fire is now 60% contained. but firefighters are bracing for more wind as they try to bring the 375-acre wildfire under control. remarkably a new blow to the nfl tonight. police in phoenix say they have arrested cardinals' running back jonathon dwyer on aggravated assault charges on a 27-year-old woman and an 18-month-old child the cardinals immediately de activated dwyer from all team activities. this on a day when two more nfl players were ditched. more on those controversies. >> yet another nfl player

pulled from the field of a being accused abuse. greg hardy who is appealing these july conviction on domestic abuse charges for assaulting his ex-girlfriend was put on the nfl's exempt list today after taking a voluntary leave until his case is resolved. >> he is still being paid. he is still part of this football team. in due time he will be back here. >> just this morning the minnesota vickings announced that adrian peterson is banned from all team activities as he faces a child abuse charming accuse -- charge accused of hitting his 4-year-old son with a tree branch. the decision to put peterson on the nfl's exempt list one day after the team announced it would reinstate the former mvp. >> we made a mistake, and we needed to get this right. adrian will be away from the team and focus on his personal situation. >> nike announcing that it has suspended its endorsement contract with peterson saying in a statement, nike in no way

condones child abuse or domestic violence of any kind and has shared our concerns with the nfl. just last week, nike also ended its deal with former baltimore raven star ray rice, caught on camera beating his now wife. initially the nfl suspended rice for two games. then once the video was released publicly, the league suspended rice indefinitely. the nfl players' association is now appealing commissioner roger goodell's decision. and that appeal is expected to be heard soon. the nfl saying the commissioner will not be involved. marcy gonzalez, abc news, new york. pressure is mounting on the san francisco 49ers meantime for allowing ray mcdone thald to play of a he was -- mcdonald to play after he was arrested and not charged with domestic violence. an investigation is still on going. a resolution to condemn the niners has been presented to the council and bay area congress women are calling for him to be benched. >> why hasn't he been

benched? anything for football. i am an avid 49er fan, but this is disgusting. >> the fact is he shouldn't have played. >> today coach harbaugh stands by the decision to allow mcdonald to play while the investigation plays out. santa cruz county sheriff deputies are searching for a man accused of flashing women. it has happened at least twice in live oak. take a look at video of the suspect running away from the scene. a woman says a man exposed himself as he was jogging on september 12th. she says he ran away after she threatened to call police. chp officers ended up with a pile of contraband this morning of a they arrested two men in two hours in two separate traffic stops in berkeley. they netted two illegal guns and a small pile of cash and five kinds illegal drugs. you can see it all in the picture released by the chp. san francisco supervisor

of their earnings. welshing animal control officers in livermore are pleading with the public, do not, do not feed the ducks and geese at the spring town duck pond. one the beggest concerns is something called angel wing which is a deformity of the wing and it is caused by a feeding by people. they are not conditioned for a diet of bread and rice. they grow too fast and their feathers are too heavy for their muscles. there are already problems with apple's new software upgrade. ios8 was just released today and customers are complaining that the upgrade takes too long to download and uses too much space. there is also a bug in the highly touted health kit platform. the company hopes to have it fixed by the end of the month. now to the daredevil dog. he joined his owner jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet. his owner has jumped hundreds

afternoon thunder with a warmer pattern in the upcoming weekend. this is the low the cold front was responsible for the thunderstorms up along the northwest california coast. and this front is going to slide through during your morning commute. you will see the showers spreading overnight and your morning commute is looking wet. have your umbrellas by the door. your kids will need one as well. as you look at our computer animation, the rain line is to the north. watch what happens at 5:00 a.m. we have widespread scattered showers in the region. the showers keep going until 9:00 a.m. isolated possibility of showers in the north bay. you get some clearing and a little sun and the heating from the sun could destabilize the atmosphere which is why we are putting in the slight risk. for most of you we should be drying out for the afternoon hours. rainfall projections are expecting .13 in santa rosa and a 10th an inch in napa. .05 in san francisco. out toward livermore .01 and
