live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. inside the south san francisco gym what was an argument ended with a bizarre murder using gym equipment, the suspect is in custody. good morning, i am katie marzullo. >> i am eric thomas. the victim was beaten to death in full view of other jim members at a total fitness, a bali's in south san francisco. amy hollyfield is there with this report. amy hollyfield? we are at the market where the victim worked.

co-workers cannot believe he is gone. he worked here as a butcher for 16 years. they are burning a candle this morning for him on the counter at the market. this is the counter where he worked so many years. co-workers say he it -- lit it up. he was murdered at the bali gym on wednesday night. another member hit him in the head several times with a solid steel bar that usually is used for lifting weights. police have not said if the victim and the suspect knew each other. >> he is a grown man with a kid's heart. he was always smiling. there is nothing bad to say about him. he did not deserve what happened to him. he never fought with nobody.

he never...it is very hard. >> how could someone do that to him? i mean...he never...never harmed anybody. he was a very nice and kind person. >> here is the mug shot of the suspect, police arrested the friction-year-old kenneth asoko leaving the gym after the take but he was identified by the witnesses. he agreed to surrender when the police called him. they took him into custody. they have remain chad him with murder. they have made said the motive. they say that he is now in jail. co-workers at the market say life here without the victim will not be the same. it is already quiet without his clearful personality.

>> developing news, 937-year-old man accused of intentionally setting a massive wildfire in the sierra will be in court today. he is under arrest facing a charm of arson in the case. huntsman will be arraigned at 1:00 o'clock. the fire is now standing at 76,000 acres and is only ten percent contained. it has been burning since days. thousands of homes are evacuated. the man accused of set the fire will appear if court but he is no stranger to the criminal justice system. >> the rap sheet is long. the mug shots many, wayne huntsman at 19, a convicted criminal. last year, smiling for the camera and accused of setting the king fire. it is unfortunate. sis frustrating for the community. this is an individual who has been arrested a number of times and now he is out committing the crimes and has been involved in the fire. >> the crimes date back to 1996 when convicted of stealing a car and d.w.i. and assault with a

deadly weapon in santa cruz county. he was sentenced to three years at san subsequent din and then convicted of receiving stolen property and last year he resisted an officer at a resort. he missed several court dates and a war ran was issued. despite the record his sister who did not want to be camera believes her brother is innocent. >> i cannot believe it. i am sad. worried. scared. my brother would never intentionally do anything to harm the forest wilderness or anyone's housing. >> the king fire is threatening 12,000 homes. he moved to pollock pines in june of last year to work for a construction company and is held at the el dorado county jail on $10 million bail. firefighters continue to make progress on a wildfire burning near the town of weed, california, is 90 percent contained. it has destroyed 4 youth -- 480

jetblue is looking at the engines on an airbus as this frightening emergency landing. the plan was headed to austin, texas, and passengers say smoke poured from the right engine and into the cabin 13 minutes into the flight. this video from inside the plane as the emergency masks deployed and passengers heard a loud bang and evacuated the plan using the emergency slides. jetblue says a passenger was taken to the hospital for observation. a day after australian police disrupted an isisment to publicly behead random civilians, the prime minister has revealed the parliament and government members were potential targets. congress has given president obama approval to arm and train syrian rebels to fight sis although arab nations threatened bid group have not done the same. >> the united states is war at isil and the international community including the muslim world is at war with isil and
