san francisco, 66 to 72. most of the bay is 73 to 80. drizzle items to high cloud and sunshine bit afternoon. rain is still coming in. leyla gulen? >> because of the wet roads we notice a couple of accidents. this is typical of wet conditions such as solo spinout. in berkeley at the powell secret eastbound side, we have a solo crash that hit the center divider. 80 westbound, those are the headlights, and eastbound side are the tail lights but it is calm and quiet. we could have c.h.p. coming out soon. antioch to hercules is at 28 minutes and to the maze, it is 15 minutes and in san jose, 87 northbound from 85 to the san jose airport it is a short drive. crews are working to make

repairs after a gas leak at san mateo high school. classes are canceled today. amy hollyfield is at the campus. what happened, yesterday the school folks could hear the gas leak happening as san mateo high school and they called pg&e crews to come out and investigate. crews determined that the problem was actually with school equipment so pg&e shut down the gas and walks away while the school has to call in a plumber who figures out what the problem is and how to get it fixed. while the school words on that the gas is shut down so that means month students can be here. there is no school here at san mateo while, a lucky break for the students here and they get an extra day to do studying or work on a report. in word on when they are allowed back on campus. they have to get that repair fix asked they have to get the gas

but disagrees with numbers that have been reported. mayor lee says the chief led the department through the worse recession in a generation and chief hayes-white was the first female chief in 1990. developing news in the south bay, san jose police are investigating a doubling homicide that happened at 9:00 at a home in the seven trees neighbor. they are looking for a gunman. officers arrived to find two victims dead, a man and his son and a woman was rushed to the hospital with wounds that are not life threatening. >> walnut creek police are searching if a gunman who kidnapped a woman, drove her to a bank, forced her to withdraw cash and dropped her back off in the neighbor starting at noon yesterday. the man was armed with a bun and

approached her in the front yard the she was not hurt. >> the future of the transbay transit center in downtown san francisco could be in jeopardy. the chronicle reports an agreement between san francisco supervisors and developers over a brand tax district has collapsed. transit center includes the extension of caltran and skyscrapers and one would be the largest on the west coast. after developers found out there are tax obligations are gone up by millions they threatened to sue the city. the center was to open in late 2017. >> the coast guard sunning beachgoers and boaters to be very careful and expect unusually strong rip currents along the marine marin and santa cruz coast so jetties and inlets are friend to dangerous conditions. if you caught in a rip

highway 101 after a public outcredit, the owner has agreed to sell them. the rescue center and sanctuary announced on facebook they made a deal to buy the horses. the president of the association will buy as many as she can afford and says there are 33 horses, and ten are starving, and she need $20,000 must volunteers to help transport the horses. the group has a site that has now raised $2,100. we have a link on our website to help. break in, in ferguson, in month, led to a stand off between police and protesters. it happened last night at a beauty supply store that has been ransacked in august. police arrived the crowd grew to 200 people. demonstrators chanted at police who were ready. the protestened peacefully. >> august 9 an officer shot and killed unarm teen michael brown

police finished the investigation an hour ago. family members are still here. we were told by a family member that the homicide victims are a pair and son. the double shooting happened before 9:00 last night, two men were found each with a gunshot wound and they died at the scene. it is believed they are around 50 and 30. a woman was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life threat being injury. they thought she was shot but plaintiff she was braised or possible injured herself in another way. she is being treated as a witness. officers on the scene are familiar with this home and have had frequent contact with the people who live there but would not specify. so far there are no arrests. new developments in the attack on isis. there was a new round of airstrikes overnight, six in all, two inside syria, four

inside iraq. all targeted the islamic militant group. presbyterian will address the u.n. general assembly to discuss the attacks in the second night. the united states is leading a coalition in a campaign against isis. the united states took action against the chore -- khorasan group tied to al qaeda plotting attacks again the united states and other western targets. workers with the transit direct could strike by end of the week. a labor coalition leader says talks on a new contract have been fruitless and it is very likely there will be a strategic. the coalition represents 13 unions from ferry captains to bus mechanics and bridge workers. no word on would walks off the job or the impact on commuters. employee health care premiums are the issue.
