watch out for hydroplaning potential. leyla gulen has been reported on closures in downtown san francisco the financial district because of police activity. we are joined by phone from california and front street. what is going on? >> good morning, eric. i can confirm there has been a police shooting at the intersection of california and battery. i am looking at an overturned white s.u.v. with yellow tarp. i talked to a witness name lisa garcia would said there was an accident and she saw six or seven police officers with their guns drawn. shots rang out. the suspect was shot. again, there is a yellow tarp over the front of the s.u.v. and i don't know his continue -- condition but that is not buildly a good sign.

good morning, everyone, this is a picture from a breaking news story in downtown san francisco. a police chase ended in gunfire. the possibility of a perpetrator being talletsly -- fatally wounded. our reporter is on the scene, and we know in the area of front and california streets, it is blocked because of the police investigation. the car involved here is an overturned white s.u.v. with no confirmation but there is the possibility it is related to an early chase that took place at 5:00 we reported on, on the golden gate bridge. looking at the lights, you can see units chasing a white vehicle that came across the bridge and came into the city streets and possibly ended in the financial district. police will not say if that is the vehicle but there is huge police act it after a shooting that ended the whole thing in
