to make it easier to get from san francisco to the east bay after hours. right now the last bart train leaves embarcadero at 12:26 stranding late night people on the weekend. the only way to get across the bay at that hour is the all nighter buses. bart plans to increase the early morning bus service on weekends and add a new line on highway 24 into industrial contra costa county. fire crews credit continued cool weeks ago with gaining steady ground against the massive king fire which now is 92 percent contained with thousands of firefighters spending more than two weeks battling the flames. the fire charred 152 square miles and destroyed 12 hopes in el dorado and 37-year-old wayne allen huntsman is in jail on $10 million charged with starting the fire.

police are investigating a man being shot near civic center plaza at 3:00 this morning. authorities say the man was with a group of people when he was robbed and shot. the victim was taken to the hospital. ones say the suspect was wearing a black hoodie and pants and remains loose. in the east bay two teen girls are recovering after a police chase that resulted in a rollover crash. >> police say the driver is in custody and faces serious charges. she had two teen girls as passengers last night when the accident happened. his say they are 16 or 17. they were both hurt the one was treated and released from the hospital. the other is still in the hospital in serious-but-stable condition and ejected. police were trying to pull the driver over for traffic
