department. police say this began with a burglar who broke into the home waking up the man who lives here. he confronted the burglary who turn around and stabbed the man multiple times. he was very bloody and in bad shape. the burglar took off running but the santa clara police department caught him in the area a short time ago and he was taken to the police department. the map living in the home was rushed to the hospital the weapons say he is in bad condition. we do not have the official condition. we will continue to be on the scene working to find out more information. with the heat wave mike mentioned firefighters are not getting a break, these years of drought made brush dry as a bone
